Overall Review of Asansol engineering college

Asansol engineering College has great record since its establishment but some steps should be taken for better placement.Better training and skill oriented workshops, summer training and winter training should be conducted.Internships should also be given.

Course curriculum is decided by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad university of technology.Course curriculum is set to meet all the standards of engineers.Semester exam is conducted once in a six month and two internal test are conducted during the semester.

Placement and job opportunities are average.Last year placement was quite better.Companies like Simplex infrastructure,Pinnacle Tech,TCS,ITC, Johnson control,Bosch,TVS,Virtusa,CGI and many more visit every year for recruitment and many get recruited in these companies.No they don't provide internship

Electronic innovation-Conducted by ECE department which is a type of exhibition of different innovative models Innovative Prototype design for mankind-conducted by AEIE department. On World literature day,many events like debate, group discussion are conducted by literary society. Mirage is conducted by Civil department in which several events are conducted. Robotics society conducts several workshops and competition like Technoxian. Cultural club conducts dance performances on several occasions. Photography club conducts contests

Fee structure is feasible,It is approximately 1 lakh for a year,which includes tuition fees for two semesters,library fee, Training fees,Risk coverage fees.Tuition fees are free for students with income less than 1 lakh per year.

There are different kinds of scholarship but i have not availed it. Scholarship for students from minority religion group get 60000 per year.Swami Vivekananda scholarship is offered for the students who had good academic performance.

Entrepreneurship development cell conducts workshops related digital marketing, startup and also several competition on that.Every year 3-day cultural fest is conducted.All labs are well equipped and up to date.Interdepartmental Cricket, football, basketball, volleyball is conducted.

Hostel infrastructure are quite satisfactory.Wifi,drinking water, electricity are all present for 24/7,Mess facilities are below average.Indoor and outdoor games for recreation.Gymnasium is also there.

No,the alumni network is not so strong,but senior students are really helpful for any kind of situation, whether it be academic or any other.Passout students also visit to the college and the alumni meet is also conducted.

I appeared for WBJEE and secured 13451 rank.After the result of entrance exam,the online form filling process for college and department begins.I filled my choices and then i was alloted Asansol engineering college.After then Verification of documents have to be done by reporting to the college and after it, allotment letter is given and then you can get enrolled in the college by depositing the fees.

Only some faculty are there to teach us with full dedication,others are lazy and avoid the students doubts.Teachers just want to pass the time,many teachers do not come to class and directly send the snaps of notes in WhatsApp.
