Course Curriculum Overview
The university uses the latest course curriculum as defined by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for different courses. As per the examination structure of the university is discussed, 2 sessional exams are conducted and after the semester examinations take place. The odd semester examinations take place in December-January and the even semester examinations are held in May-June.
Placement Experience
As per the placement stats of journalism and mass communication are considered, BBDU has failed to provide good placement opportunities. All the other things related to the course are up to the mark but when it comes to placements, you just can't rely on the management of the university.
College Events
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated at a huge level in BBDU, many performances are delivered by the dramatics and dance societies of the universities. The annual fest of BBDU, also known as Utkarsh is held every year. From star night to best food stall of Lucknow, everything is available in the Utkarsh fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The basic college fee for BA in J&MC is 45,000 per semester which will go around Rs 90,000 per year. If one opts for college conveyance, then they need to pay an amount of Rs 24,000. If all expenses are calculated for a year, the amount will go up to Rs 1,50,000 including a PG rent near the college premises.
Fees and Financial Aid
I never applied for any sort of scholarship or education loan but as far as I know, the university provides scholarship to meritorious students of class 12th board examination and a fee waiver scholarship to economically weaker students.
Campus Life
The campus life at BBD University is very sorted as students are not supposed to dress up in a uniform as the dress code there is a white shirt along with blue or black jeans. Being a co-ed university, the gender ratio of BBDU is quite impressive as a lot of girls and boys can be witnessed hanging out, studying in the independent environment.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors of the university are very helpful as they try their best to make your journey easy and if you have good tuning with them then they also help you in grabbing good internships and jobs in the long run.
Admission
The admission in Babu Banarasi Das University starts after the result declaration of the class 12th board examinations. The application form can be collected from the university itself. The candidates are required to fill their fields of interest in the form of further counseling processes.
Faculty
The faculty for journalism and mass communication is very active and enthusiastic. They always try to explain the old school journalism methodologies in a new and innovative way so that the students could interpret it easily. Faculties of Journalism in BBDU believe that the course is more about practical knowledge as compared to the theoretical one.
