As of now, in India many people are still illiterate and hence to make them educated at an affordable cost IGNOU is one of the best institute available in INDIA. Due to which people can learn and get educated at their time and effort, due to distance learning.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think the curriculum is well designed to cope up with the changing world, today. It provides us with the practical scenario's in life and is suitable for all age group. The exams are held twice in the year. For which assignment and theory papers are to be given. Both consisting of 100 marks each. Results are announc3d in qround2-3 months period after the last date of examination.
Placement Experience
No there are no internships provided by my college for my course of BACHELOR DEGREE OF COMMERCE. As concerned with other courses like MBA there may be placement program for the candidates so that they can have all the good enterprises at one place to decide there working in future.
College Events
The college has population of all types of people. And hence all types of functions are celebrated hers and and also some events like annual functions, award 8, felicitations of meritorious students to give them booster so that they can perform more effectively and efficiently in the coming years.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees differs according to the course. for my course the fees was Rs.9000. and examination fees was Rs.150 per paper. I don't think that the fees charged by my institutions is to expensive.Rs.9000 for bachelor's degree program is not that much.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarship facilities to the needy students and as well as a token of appreciation to the meritorious students by giving them some type of concession in the college fees. For this the criteria as notified by the college are to be fulfilled.
Campus Life
The college arranges annual functions, trips, lectures by some of the top teachers, influencer, entrepreneurs, motivator, alumni and the lost goes on. Also, there are lectures on television on recent topics in INDIA AND WORLD.
Hostel Facilities
No i didn't opt for hostel. As the college provide distance learning education there are hardly any facilities of accommodation that are being used by students and also the college have many regional centre in major cities so students can leave at their home and study.
Alumni/Alumna
As the environment of the college is so designed that is the distance learning programme there is hardly any interaction with the past students and alumni. But whenever any new comer needs any help on any matter the seniors are ready for the help.
Admission
First, I purchased the prospectus and filled up the form available. For the payment of fees DEMAND DRAFT IS to drawn in favour of IGNOU. And submission of necessary documents as described in the prospectus , submitted at their regional centre.
Faculty
The faculty is world class here. They provide us practical studies and teaches us how to cope up with the practical scenario's. They are well versed with how to teach to students and make the subject interesting.
