Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite nice. DU follows CBCS (Credit Based Course System). Exams in du are of two types: Internal and external. Internal exams carries about 25-30 marks by conducting classroom exams or assignments and viva, which differs from college to college and department to department. On the other side, external exams are conducted all over DU which have the same set of rules and exam pattern. There is a specific date sheet for exrernal exams of all colleges.
Placement Experience
Yes, our college has a separate placement cell which provides internships as well. As I am a new student here, so till now I haven't applied for the same but according to my seniors, the maximum stipend was about Rs. 7,000 a month, which is quite good.
College Events
Their are several fests celebrated in our college by different departments and several blood donation camps and other helpful events, as well. Of all, the university too gives fund to the college every year for the Annual Fest which comes up with a lot of excitements and popular celebrities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible as the college comes under a public university. Also, the university provides with several scholarship programmes like NSP, Inspire and gee concession through college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college offer scholarship programme for economically weaker students by providing them fee concession. Also, their are some scholarship by government like NSP and Inspire which provide Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 1,20,000 to the students per year.
Campus Life
The college has many labs such as physics lab, chemistry lab, computer lab,etc. Also the campus offers several sports activities such as Archery, Basketball, Football, Badminton, etc. and many societies such as debating society, dramatic society,etc. The college is one of the best colleges in Delhi known for its Archery.
Admission
The admission process takes 3 main steps: 1. Applying the desired course in the application form from DU official website. 2. Meeting the desired cut-off from the college, you want to seek admission. 3. Getting your documents verified by the college and paying the fees online.
Faculty
I am from Mathematics Department of Deshbandhu College and honestly speaking, it is one of the best department of mathematics in South Campus. It has also been shifted to a newly developed building, recently. And teachers here are very helpful and supportive towards any query related to any topic whether it's mathematics or life. Also, it has a good computer lab as well for performing many mathematical operations and for making graphs. It has one of the best faculties for Mathematics.
