Remarks
Our department is not good for studies, if you want to enjoy your college life without exam tension, then you can join this college. Hostel facilities are good. Also, Hostel monthly charge is very cheap. Hostel monthly food charge is around Rs. 1500/-.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are only two courses available (EIE and IT) with an intake of 31 for each. The exam is normally held at the end of the semester. There is a gap of 6 months normally between each exam. Odd Semester end Exam held in the Month of Dec-Jan and Even Semester end Exam held in the month of Jun-July.
Placement Experience
The placement service is the worst in our college. In our college, there is no placement cell. They don't recommend any company or anything. After, passing B. Tech you will get only certificate, how to find a job it is your duty. After completing B.Tech you can try for the government exam, GATE for higher studies, and many more options.
College Events
Annual Reunion event is celebrated every year in our department, including sports, cultural activities are organized by our department. Every hostel has also organized Hall-day and Saraswati Puja every year, Entire Feb and March are for events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is not more expensive. I had to pay Rs. 15250/- annual at time of admission and Rs. 13710/- annually fee for 2nd, 3rd & 4th year. Also, the Hostel charge is very cheap, they took Rs. 2200/- at time of admission, after 1st-year Hostel charge, is RS. 1200/- only.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you are eligible for the scholarship University will provide you. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship provides to the merit student and OASIS provides scholarship to the SC/ ST. All Scholarship is given by the Government of West Bengal.
Campus Life
There are so many extracurricular activities organized by our department and hostel. Sports, cultural activities are organized by our department every year. Every hostel is also organized by Hall-day, and Saraswati Puja every year including sports.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure is very good. Hostel food is not good. Hostel admission charge is Rs. 2200/- for 1st year, Rs. 1200/- for the rest of the year. Hostel monthly food charge is around Rs. 1500/-. Each hostel are maintaining beautiful gardens within hostel campuses.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors student of our college is very helpful to us. They guided me through the semester exam, project work. Some of the places seniors recommended us a different types of company for the job.
Admission
Candidates are required to apply online for the entrance examination to get admission to different courses. The application is available on the website of WBJEE. Those who have passed 10+2 in PCM are considered eligible to apply for admission to the B. Tech course. Admission to B.Tech is given based on the applicant’s merit in WBJEE. The Diploma Holder Candidates are admitted to B. Tech Lateral Entry based on their merit in WB-JELET conducted by WBJEEB.
Faculty
There are some permanent teachers, But they didn't take us to all classes. Some faculty are very helpful. There are need more good and permanent faculty. Classes are not interesting. They can not complete our total project within time.
