Remarks

I find everything is good. And the best part is the college is very adaptive.

Entrance Preview

Generally you can admission to AOT through WBJEE exam. There is no interview process here probably if you get a rank within 25000 you can aurely get cse as your stream in AOT. I choose this college beacuse of this discipline and curriculam. The teachers here are very positive and will always share the helping hand. However as i mentioned it is one of the strict college in westbengal.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course and curriculam are very good, as it is affiliated to wbut! But more than that the way collge approaches to cover up the syllabus is quiet good! And apart from this, the faculty members are very nice and always lays the helping hand!

Internships Opportunities

Currently the college provides no internship oportunities for b.tech students.

Well this college is known for its placement and giving you jobs. But fot that you have to take the curriculum seriously and have to study!

College Events

The freshers festival is known as regatta! And the college fest is known as Arcadia! To be frank arcadia is a grand celebration! The hectic schedule that the whole year the college follows, arcadia is the day when you gonna forget everything and fly in enjoyment!

Hostels are good but the canteen needs to improved!

Yes, bank of india has a special tie up with our college so getting student loan is a matter of momments here.

Campus Life

Well, in this college girls and boys are equal number of! The labs are quiet good! As i am a cse student here, so i find the labs very very good! More importantly the lab assistants are very nice in behavior! The college tech fest is a immense scope to learn and invent things. Various college also participate on the same. And many debate, seminars are in the regular routine of AOT!

Well, to be frank we dont get to interact with them much as beacuse of our hectic routines. But the few of them you gonna eet will always lay there helping hand!

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More

Academy of technology Reality check

I got this this from WBJEE , i wrote this exam and I score rank under 12 k in which our college has cutoff of 20k. I applied for the councelling of WBJEE and got selected in first round .
