Remarks
Overall the college is a very good place for me. I like being in the college especially cause of the kind of people I interact with good freedom is also given as there is no limit to the block timings in the hostel and also the libraries are huge you can find many different kinds of books there.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is good. Most of the courses are pretty old and need to be updated are going on but still, there is alot to update. The exam structure is a continuous evaluation exam that goes on throughout the semester.
Placement Experience
Many job opportunities are available. Most of the students get placed by end of the 4 years course. Internships are also given in 3rd year placement reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon visit during placement. The stipend is also very good ranging from 20k- 60k per month for internships.
College Events
Many events are celebrated in the college. Actually every weekend there is some event going on. Most of the festivals like Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam are celebrated. Along with these there are sports events like a fresher cup, interbranch sports competition. There are two major fests on the college they are 'engineer' and 'Incident'.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is not expensive. The tuition fee is around 70k, hostel rent is 4k and the mess fee is 25k. Overall it is around 1 lakh per semester which is not very expensive compared to private colleges that charge hefty amounts.
Campus Life
Most sports are played in college like basketball, tennis, badminton, football, etc. There is also a fully equipped gym of a pretty big size. We find any labs around the campus. Different departments have different sets of labs they are properly funded.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I have opted for a hostel. The facilities are decent not so great but the basic necessities are MET. We get good network connectivity. Most of the rooms are single occupancy. We get a chair, table, a bed cupboard, etc.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network is especially huge, there are over 20k alumni on LinkedIn who are really helpful in guiding students and giving them opportunities to work.no matter which field you choose you will find alumni who are already in that field and ready to guide you.
Admission
First, all students need to give a common entrance test for all NIT's that is JEE main. If you qualify then we will move on to the counseling round conducted by a board called Josaa in counseling. We are asked to fill in our options in priority.
Faculty
Faculty are very good, they have a very good grip on the subjects they are dealing with, most of them are research-minded and also guide students in the same path who are interested. They are friendly and helpful. They give a pretty good letters of recommendation and also increase the network of the students by connecting them to their colleagues.
