Remarks
It is a good college in terms of faculty, sports and placements. Mainly the placements of this college are higher as compared to the other engineering colleges in the city. Number of students from Computer branch is greater in getting placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of this college is as per Pune University course structure. 8 semester exam is conducted in 4 years of the engineering course. At the end of last sem, an average of all semesters is calculated. Both theory and practical exams are conducted in every semester.
Placement Experience
Various companies including MNC's visit this campus for recruiting students of various branches. Companies like Infosys, Mahindra and Mahindra, Cybage software, TCS, Eternus, FinIQ, L&T Infotech, etc hire students from this college. The placement ratio very high for few departments of this college as compared to the other engineering colleges of the city. No, the college doesn't provide any type of internship.
College Events
2 main and highlighted events celebrated in the college are MAFFICK and EQUINOX. Various types of days viz, SareeDay, SchoolDay, ChocolateDay, traditionalDay, etc are celebrated at the time of MAFFICK event held in January. Whereas, EQUINOX consist of technical and non technical events. Robo Race, Box cricket, Presentations, GK Quiz, Coding Games, etc are few of them.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for this college is high. There is a 10% rise in the fees every year. It was approx around 86k 2 years before, whereas now it is almost 1L 25K. But it also provides various opportunities to the students, which help them grow in many aspects. Then it may b events, games, sports, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Various scholarships are provided to the students as per government norms. On the basis of criteria, these scholarships are given to the students. There is also an education loan facility given. The students who find it feasible, they opt for it.
Campus Life
Students participate in various extra curricular activities like Cricket, Football, Basketball, Chess, Volleyball, etc. Matches for these sports are held in summer. Many students have achieved awards and appreciations at higher levels in cricket and football.
Hostel Facilities
No, I haven't opted for Hostel, as I was a localite. But the students who stay at hostel were satisfied with the services provided by the hostel. The girls hostel is in the college campus itself. The infrastructure is good.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a compulsory session conducted by for 2nd/3rd students by the final year placed/topper students. These seniors guide the juniors regarding placements, interviews, its process, interview criteria, etc. Which helps the students in preparing well for the final and pre-final year of their graduation.
Admission
I had completed my diploma with distinction in computer engineering from a different college (with 86.06% mentioned in 12th marks section). Then as per merit cut off of CAP round 1 ,I was alloted to this college.
Faculty
The faculty is highly qualified, some staff are PhD holders while others are Post graduated. They provide a good guidance to the students wrt practical knowledge as well as mentorship in final year project.
