Remarks
Government medical College, bettiah has immense potential to become one of the best colleges in the country. It offers strong bonding between students, seniors, teachers and other doctors. The only misfortune this College has to face is the government under which it is supposed to run. Though there is hope that government will bring their attention towards the well being of the college and it's facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for mbbs for all colleges across India is structured by the medical council of India. Hence the course and exam pattern is same for all colleges. Exams include 4 professional exams and 9 terminal/semester exams.
Placement Experience
There is one year of compulsive internship at the end of four and a half year of course. Interns are paid around ?15000/month. Not to said but the stipend given is less then what the interns deserve. Internship includes work in all the departments in the college hospital
College Events
All kinds of events are celebrated very prosperously at government medical College. Most important being the fresher's party and Saraswati puja. All the students and doctors contribute their fullest help and interest to bring forth the best event of the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee across all government Colleges in India is negligible compared to the private colleges. Fee of g m c bettiah is around 16000/year. Negligible fee is what makes all 14 lakh students compete for 5000 seats in India.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship is available for reserved candidates. They need their no dues certificate from the college administration and apply for the scholarship. Scholarship is around ?30000 can be availed by the deserving candidate.
Campus Life
Lab facilities are available for every department. Labs are clean and well maintained. All the lab technician are well behaved and qualified. Lab activities are taken care by all respective head of the departments.
Alumni/Alumna
The college is still new so it doesn't have a very strong network of alumni. As of 2019, only two batches have completed their course. However seniors are very supportive towards their juniors. Every senior tries his best to help the juniors.
Admission
NEET exam is held across the country. Students are ranked based on their merit. Counseling of 15% of all mbbs seats in India is done based on the merit list prepared. Rest 85% of seats are filled by state counseling.
Faculty
The faculty at government medical colleges are very highly qualified. They are helpful and supportive towards the students. Their skill and dedication at teaching makes the academics more interesting for all students.
