Remarks

So based on my stay in IIT ROORKEE I can say that it is one of the best colleges in India. Except for some of the hostel facilities, all the facilities are really good. The most liked facility among students is lan system which provides unlimited and very high-speed internet connection to students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Here fee structure is feasible. For SC/ST category students tution fees is zero. For other students fees depends on the annual income of their family. For families who earn less than 1 lakh, tution fees is zero. For students whose families earn in between 1-5 lakh 2/3 tution fee waiver is provides. If income is more than 5 lakh then the student has to pay a full fee which 2 lakh per year. Hostel and mess fee is approx. 55000 Rs. per year which is same for all students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here students under AIR 300 are provided JJ Thomson scholarship in which student is given a stipend of Rs. 25000 per month. Here loan facility is excellent. Any student can get a loan for a full tution fee without giving any interest.

Campus Life

4

Here extracurricular activities are very good. IIT ROORKEE contains ground for almost every game like football, hockey, cricket, Table tennis, lawn tennis, etc. So sports facilities are excellent. Here cultural and sports meets are organized from time to time according to hostels and colleges. IIT ROORKEE has labs for almost everything required in engineering which is in very good condition.

Alumni/Alumna

Here seniors are very friendly. they are almmost like our big brothers. Ragging is banned in the college. Junior senior interaction is very good. Juniors can visit their seniors anytime and may seek help in any topic and seniors also help where they can. Here alumni network is also very good. Students who were unable to get internships and jobs can contact to alumni association where they are provided necessary opportunities. Alumni also donates funds to college for different activities. Alumni meets are also organized each and every year so that alumni can meet their old friends. So alumni network and senior-junior interaction is also good.

Admission

You have to go to the registration center and you have to take some documents which you will get to know from the website of the college. For the candidates to qualify for admission in the IIT Roorkee, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

Faculty

4

Here the faculty is quite good. They are experts in their field but mostly they are focused on research work so they are not much focused on teaching. So teaching is just satisfactory and some lectures may be boring but you can talk to them personally on any topic according to their field. Most the faculty members are helpful but exceptions are always there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of my relative told me that this course have large scope, and bright future so my brother applied for this course and i did this course and now i realised that it is good but they do not provide placement we only rely on our own. I think college should conduct sessional exam on time and the external exam should be conducted in 6th month. Exam are not much difficult.. they are moderate level.

The course curriculum at MBPG college covers all the core science subjects with basic practicals but you need to have extra skills if you want to learn more. Also the curriculum is bit theoretical and but practical too.

I can name some companies with whom our college does have made tie-ups but since none has been placed as we will be the first one to be placed, it would be inappropriate to answer this question. Still, ISRO to DRDO are the organisations for which our course is Inclined.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I had a science background in 12 th and I am especially interested in Botany and zoology, which are also helpful for preparing for NEET and other competitive exam.the curriculum is useful for basic scientific understanding and future studies, but the college needs better lab facilities and more prectical instrument so students can gain proper hands on experience.the exam pattern is balanced, with some portions being easy and some difficult, while internal exam are generally moderate and depends on the students preparations

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite good and easy to understand. Among all the subjects, I like Chemistry the most, and topics related to transition elements are my strong area. This subject increased my interest in the course and helped me understand concepts more clearly. I chose this course because I want to make my career in the teaching field, and the syllabus provides a decent theoretical base for that. However, this course is not very helpful in terms of jobs, internships, or skill development, as there are limited job opportunities after completion. There is scope for improvement in teaching methods, such as more interactive and practical-based learning. Exams are conducted twice a year on a semester basis, every six months. The exam pattern is manageable, and the difficulty level of the papers is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I have seen students who have studied from here have achieved many things in life some of them became professors here. Some are doing work abroad. According to me something there should be a change like having more practicals if you have taken subjects like IT, cs,bca or any other practical subjects book knowledge is also compulsory but by doing practicals we can learn more easily. Exams are normal for 1st year but as you are going higher difficulties will come.
