Remarks
Positive is that it has more than 980 acre campus full of lush green trees which make stay comfortable in the campus. Negative is that College is located away from the city that's why student are not allowed in night to go outside.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course MSc geoinformatics is of two years there will be four semester in which 3 semester class and 4 semester thesis. In each semester 3 quizzes will be taken both for practical as well as theory and then end semester examinations.
Placement Experience
Placement cell provide assistance for job get registered in placement cell then apply for placement in respective company. No my College do not provide internship however they may allow in summer to use lab.
College Events
List are 1 Bitotsav 2. Pantheon 3. Vajra 4. Athletic meet 5. Utkirist 6. Naad music fest and many more such environments protection and awareness clubs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure per semester vary and first semester it is 1 lakh then 75000 then 83000 for last two semester. In comparison to other College and private university the fee here in bit is feasible enough.
Fees and Financial Aid
Birla institute of technology mesra has it own GP birla fellowship of 2 crore for bit students and beside that there are two bank in campus state bank of India and UCO bank which provides easy loan to all students.
Campus Life
Bit has many extracurricular activities such as NCC and NSS program. Gym facilities and sports complex host may event such as vajra and athletic meet. Bit flagship 4 day fest BITOTSAV is annual fest of bit mesra
Hostel Facilities
Yes I used to live in hostel. There are 14 hostel in bit 12 for boys and 2 for girls. Each hostel has separate mess facilities and 1 reading room , 1 TV room ,Indoor games and outdoor games volleyball and badminton.
Alumni/Alumna
actually in my department alumni network is not so strong but my seniors were helpful during my studies as well as after completing my studies in search of my job. Some of them are not so helpful as well
Admission
Fill online applications then send all your documents through speed post and then counseling will be called in college then a merit list will be published through which I can take admission and then registration and classes.
Faculty
All the faculty holds PhD degree in remote sensing and gis technology and have vast experience in the field of education. Two professor holds phd degree from prestigious institute such as iit kanpur and iit Rourkee one holds degree from abroad itc netherland
