Well located average college

Despite lacking many college stuffs life here can be lot of fun living in a good location and having good friends and reach for various facilities. As for the academic and placement parts most of the hard works are to be handled by students only.

Most popular B Tech courses are available. Being affiliated to MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology), the college follows its examination pattern which comprises of 8 semesters. Some other courses like BCA and BBA are also there. Answer papers of examination are checked through other colleges and results are published by MAKAUT , Kolkata.

The college does not provide any internships. There are few companies which come for on campus placement but their number is too few. The visiting companies offer below standard ctc and the only good company hiring a handful of people is Tech Mahindra for last few years.

The college host many events annually some being really good budget ones. Being on a prime location it has hosted events like V-Fest. There are annual sports and cultural fest as well, the latter termed Celsius is a gem of the college.

Fee Structure is just like most colleges of west bengal, the college fee is payable on every semester which is approximately 40-45k per semester. There are fee waiver schemes backed by government for economically weaker and minority students.

College offers loan facilities with various banks as per personal choices. There are schemes of half fee waiver and full fee waiver for economically weaker students. There is also scheme for fee waiver of minorities. All the schemes are backed by the government of west bengal.

The college has a fairly spacious sports ground considering the location and availability of space in such area. There are various labs for different departments and some of which being common subjects are shared by different streams. Different extra curricular activities are conducted many a times including Saraswati and Vishwakarma puja.

The college lacks hostel and the students usually stay in rented flats or privately owned mess. There are agents of the mess owned by different people at the time of admissions, none of which is good though.

College groups are fairly active on social media and there are good personal level network among seniors and juniors. But the college lacks a good alumni association in itself. The networks are managed and handled by students studying only.

Through west Bengal joint entrance examination merit list was generated, then according to choice preferences College is allocated. I visited the college and completed the admission procedure within a day carrying all stated documents.

Most departments lack good faculties and many of them get changed regularly. There's been some good facilities associated with college for a long time, But they are just a few. There is also lack of non teaching faculties.
