First year in Kiit School of Rural Management

In my first year at KSRM, I have had a great experience in terms of personal learning and development as well as learning from seniors and my own batch-mates.

I can proudly say that the KSRM curriculum is right up there with the curriculum of top MBA (RM) colleges in India. The course is structured to collaborate with the classroom studies along with the fieldwork. KSRM is the only rural management college having 3 internships which give students great exposure and field experience. The curriculum definitely tends to ignite the researching attitude and develops a professional holistically.

The college achieved 100 percent placement in the year 2019 for its 11th Batch of MBA Rural Management students which itself states the placement status of the college. There are 3 internships which are scheduled right after the semester exams. Students are provided prior workshops and also are provided with some financial assistance in their respective internships.

College welcomes the students with a week-long induction program which is followed by a freshers party. There are conclaves, Fest and several Competitions to encourage the students towards entrepreneurship and research. Annual events such as Sangati also takes place which is a two-day event and has participation from pan India MBA(RM) students.

Total fees of MBA (RM) 2019-2021 is 6.47 lakhs in Kiit school of Rural Management. The fees are payable in 4 installments. The first installment is of 1,88,500 followed by the second installment of 1,58,500 and so on. The fees include all the expenses and no extra payment is charged for Boarding and flooding.

No, I did not avail of any loan facility for my education but the students can avail loans from any bank.

The campus life in KSRM provides students with a good mixture of enjoyment with learning from peers. Different workshops keep on taking place and all the students are welcome to participate in them. There is no politics or ragging culture in the college.

The hostel fees are included in the total fees and no extra payment is required. The hostel is nice and each room has only two students. Wardens are really nice and basic essentials such as blankets, bucket & mug, Bedsheets, pillows, etc are provided by the hostel authority itself.

KSRM has a strong and dedicated alumni base which is why the college is in constant touch with them and constant feedbacks are shared among the students and the alumni. The seniors are always ready to help academically as well as with other problems that is why KSRM functions like a family.

I applied for the KIITEE exam in march and I was fortunate that my application got selected. Following which I appeared for the entrance test in April. KIITEE exam results were published without much delay and I was called for a Personal Interview round in the college in the month of May. After the successful completion of PI round within a week, I got a provisional selection letter and the induction process started from July itself.

The faculty of our College is the backbone of the whole system who make sure the college runs smoothly and students are given proper attention. With an experience of more than 20 years and esteemed alumni of IRMA, IIM Ahmadabad the college possesses quality teachers who teach students and also prepare them according to the market demands.
