Entrance Preview
I took WBJEE and my score was 6990,i got admitted in this college through e-counselling process.i accepted this college because my brother was in this college once and now he is working in ibm.it insprired me a lot and gave me a positive feeling about this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course i am studying is computer science and engineering,it is a four year course,the faculty members is very good,they gave us right direction in our studies,they are very kind and gentle.
Internships Opportunities
Internship will be provided on 3rd year after 6th sem exam.So i will be doing my internship after 6th sem not before.Generally ibm,tcs,wipro etc provide internship in our college and the general stipend provided varies from 3000-4000 rupees.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are very rich in our college.cts,capgemini,tech mahindra,tcs,wipro,st gobain glass,hsil,ocl,trl etc visited our every year and took students from our college.these companies package was about 3-5 lakhs/annum.
College Events
In our college many cultural and technical events were celebrated.The main two event is freshers welcome na fest.many students from many colleges participate in this events.Apart from these two events saraswati puja,biswakarma puja,independence day,teachers day celebrated joyfully in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very low in our college as it is a govt college,in each semester 6000 rupees were taken from us as semester fees.in each year total 12000 rupees were taken from us.Apart from these in each sem 500 rupees were taken as examination fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Wbfs-west bengal full fee scholarship is provided in our college,for those whose family income is below 2.5 lakh/annum.I availed this scholarship.Apart from these there are minority scholarship,sc scholarship,which a student can apply.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good.There are no ragging in our college,we proudly say we are ragging free campus.We have a playground where we play football,cricket,volleyball.There is a common room for us.We dont support any disorientation abour religion,we support only one religion that is humanism.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is there in our college.The food served in our hostel is average compared to my mom's food ofcourse.I shared my room with one roomate,there is enough space for both of us.my monthly rent is 1500 rupees including food.
Alumni/Alumna
Our alumina network are very strong.We have a alumina organisation,naming gcect alumini.each passed out seniors from our college is a member of it.They help in our placement drive.
Exam Structure
Each year contains 2 semester.1st sem happened in january and 2nd sem happened in july.In each sem there a.re two internal exams and two assignments.Total marks of each subject is 100, 70 marks of main sem exam and 30 marks of internal and assignment mark
