My college

The quality of the faculty is just fine. But overall it is a good college. Beside that the best part about my department (Physics) they conduct seminars where our alumnis lectures on their work and encourages current students to join them. I find it very useful and enjoyable most of the times. And yes the seniors were very helpful and respectful towards their juniors.

There are almost all major courses available for B.sc and B.A. The fee is collected every year during the admission and it's almost ?8000 for B.sc and ?6500 for B.A except that additional charges are taken during the exams.

No, there is no job opportunities in our college, it definitely does help to get some internship but i never applied to any of them. My college conducts 2 or 3 events like Freshers party andYouth conclave, Sarswati puja. Besides that it celebrates Independence day and other national events that are mandatory for a college to conduct.

It quite feasible and not expensive as it is a government college all the expenses are paid except the admission and Exams fees which are quite normal. I find it quite affordable and the fees are reasonable.

There are some scholarship scheme offered by the central government and not by the college. But you definitely get some exemptions if have a BPL card or minority. I once appled for the scholarship but my application was rejected based on the grounds that i was not a continuous a student after my 12th.

Our college conducts tones of extracurricular activities but most of them are useless because the college doesn't seem to be interested in such things. I never applied on anyone of them because of that.

Every year the college start their admission process during the month of April where students can buy admission boucher for 300 from the college or from the college website. After that a particular date is given mostly happens during the month of July. Students are asked to be present with their form and required documents. It's a two day process where students wait for their name to be called but admission department for the submission of the form. If there name is called upon, then only they are selected. After the general admission is done if the student wish to join a particular major they should visit particular department and collect entrance form. When the college starts each department conduct there exams for the major.

I can't tell about every dependent but in my department ( Physics) the faculty is available every time you need them though not as good as i thought it would be. Also I took some other class like Maths, statistics, English and the overall experience was decent. I think faculty of Physics and Chemistry department are good and adequate compared to other departments.
