NIT SURAT REVIEW

The positives is that we have great atmosphere in the college. There is more greenery will makes us feel pleasantly. We are in middle of the city so everything is easily accessible. There is an airport and railway station nearby. The negatives are there are lot of internal polictics

My course name is Electronics and communication engineering. The curriculum of the course in the college is same as any other NIT and top colleges. We have good labs and infrastructure. Curriculum is okay we can learn.

The placements are very good. The number of core companies which come for mechanical students are more than any college. For electronics also core companies number is increasing every year and there is no need to say about IT companies almost 50 percent of people gets placed in 2 months. The college provides internship for toppers and we have companies that give internship.

We have so many events that are celebrated. At the starting of the year Freshers day is celebrated for 1sr year students. All the events occur in even semester we have sparsh which is biggest cultural and technical fest for us. We have sports fest also. And every department organises one event at different times. We have dristi which is for technical events.

The fee structure is same as all nits which has increased now. The tution fees and hostel depends on your fathers income. If the income is less than 2 lacs per annum then there is no tuition fee. Otherwise tuition fee is 75 thousand per semester and hostel fee is around 20 thousand per year.

There are many scholarships for students. For students who are good at studies and have good cgpa the college provides around 20 thousand rupees. For economically backward students also they provide scholarship for hostel fee.

There are many student clubs which encourage extracurricular activities. We chave CHRD for dancers singers and any artists. We have cricket ground football ground basket ball lawn tennis hand ball grounds. They are very good.

The bond between seniors and juniors will be stronger and aluminium will help students. Alumini will help get companies to our college. Some times they only come for hiring the students and they are very supportive. Seniors are very helpful for students they help in how to prepare for interview and everything.

I qualified in JEE Mains and then I applied for the colleges in order. For my rank I got sardar vallabhbhai national institute of college(NIT SURAT) Electronics and communication engineering branch. Later I got admission there.

Our college have a very good faculty. But our department lacks senior lecturers. There are only 5 professors and remaining are all assistant professor and teaching assistants. Reaming departments like civil mechanical and electrical have senior professors.
