Entrance Preview

I took odisha JEE exams in 2011 in which i secured 3697th rank in general category. I had no other option, so i had to choose this college otherwise i would have to drop.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are quite a few courses to choose from but there is nothing such as research.The faculty on the other hand is dedicated. There are many branches namely Civil, m.tech, electrical, ece, cse and such.

Internships Opportunities

I did not apply for any internship but companies such as bsnl,vodafone etc came for internship offering 5000-6000 rs on an average.

Placement Experience

Placement is very good.This nearly 80% of the students got placed in companies such as tcs,infosys,wipro,secure eyes, etc.The package offered was 300,000 on an average.

College Events

Every year a tech fest is organised in which all the branches participate which comprises of many curricular and extra curricular activities. The participation is immense and it is followed by a star night in which a renowned bollywood star performs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The hostels are in good condition with all the basic amenities but the food is not upto the mark.The hostels rentals are 52000 per year.

No there are no scholarships or loans which i know of.

Campus Life

The campus life is mixed.There is no fear of ragging but at the same time there is too less interaction between seniors and juniors. The number of girls are more than the number of boys by a staggering amount. The workshops are good but there are very few equipments but it is compensated by an extremely dedicated faculty who do their best to teach despite the lack of equipments.There are students from various diversities like different states,communities etc but there is a sense of mutual bonding.

The alumni network is a bit downgraded with very less interaction between current and ex students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placement Experience:

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .
