Remarks

There are many excellent colleges in India but if we want to take admission in those colleges we have to pay a large fees in lakhs. There are many families who cannot afford such a huge fees and they will have to take loan for their studies. JU is only a high rated college in which every poor can study without any burden of loan. However poor he may be JU always helps its student for their study.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is quite good and is sufficient for any other exam after B.E. It is similar to the syllabus of IIT. Infact IIT's have considered its course curriculum similar to JU. However I think the overall curriculum can be more advanced and we should discuss more about our recent technologies than those of 90's technologies.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements for CSE, ECE and IT are marvelous. The average package is around 15 lpa. For core jobs, the package is less. Yes, we can apply for internship in our 3rd year course in various companies.

College Events

5

There are various events celebrated throughout the year in JU, starting from departmental fresher program, U-Turn sport event and the main fest Sanskriti. There are also other many events celebrated by the students throughout the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The overall fees required for studying in JU throughout the 4 year curriculum is 11,420 Indian rupees and is the cheapest college throughout the country or may be the world and if you are having any financial problem, out of this 11,420 rupees 10k may get returned depending upon your financial condition. However infact of such a low fees, the quality of JU never comes down.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some scholarships provided by the college depending upon your financial situation. An amount of 10k gets returned, 2.5k each year. The Alumni of JU always helps its students. They conduct interviews and help the needies.

Campus Life

3.5

The labs in JU are quite advanced. There are lot of advanced machines in JU. Since JU is well known for its research works, it has a large number of highly advanced machines which many IIT's are lacking.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni always helps its students whenever they need help. They provide scholarships for the needies. The seniors are also helpful. They show their juniors the right path and also give us an idea which path could be the best path to walk in future.

Admission

I gave an entrance examination, WBJEE and scored a rank under 500. Then counselling process started within a week after a submission of 5000 Indian rupees. I applied for the branches and colleges in which I was interested in a descending manner of interest. After a week the counselling board gave the best college according to my rank. I went to the college on the prescribed date. There we have to pay an amount of 710 Indian rupees for the admission process and then I was enrolled.

Faculty

5

The best thing about JU is its faculty members. Attending classes are enough to gain knowledge over a particular field. The professors are so knowledegable that we can discuss with them about any doubt and they never complain. Their way of explaining things is admirable. However every faculty is not perfect here. If you are interested in this college, then you have to prepare some subjects by yourself.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
