Good college, great faculties, average infrastructure.

One negative thing about our college would be the college canteen. It is a veg canteen which offers only 2-3 dishes. To eat something good, either one has to bring their own food or eat something from outside the college (a lot of good food shops are available in that area).

Computer Science Engineering is probably the most demanding course now since IT sector provides the maximum job opportunities. MCKVIE falls under the MAKAUT (University) which follows a semester based structure. We had to give 8 semesters over a course of 4 years. Each semester exam contributes to 70% of the marks and 30% of the marks are taken from internal exams, assignments and attendance.

The 2018 pass out batch faced a few problems during their placements as not many job opportunities were provided to them, but the 2019 batch (our batch) had a wonderful placement record. All of the students of CSE department got placed and some even got 3-4 job offers. Most of the students placed are from CSE, IT and ECE departments. The college does not provide any internship opportunities but does grant leave if a student gets an internship offer from outside.

Our college celebrates an annual fest each year which goes on for 5 days. 2 days are for tech fest where different games and competitions take place like Robo-war, Robo-Soccer, FIFA and NFS tournaments etc. And 3 days cultural fest where dance and singing competitions are held. Other than these events like Inter-college quiz, inter-college football and cricket tournaments, even blood donation camps are held at our college.

Since MCKVIE is a private college, the fee structure is a bit expensive. During my 4years of college, I had to pay fee on semester basis which ranged from ?38k to ?42k. Other than that before each semester we had to pay ?1200 as exam fee. Also the college took ?20k as caution money during the admission process.

I don't know much about the details of any scholarship facilities offered by our college since I never opted for it. But I know this much that our college does provide scholarship to students who are really skilled but can't afford the fee. But for an exam is need to be given.

Our college campus is small and has a basketball court and a badminton court. One can take part in sports like badminton, basketball, cricket and football but all need to played on those 2 courts only. Indoor games consists of carrom and Table Tennis. The labs are small but does have all the required equipments for learning. Our college has 4 computer labs which are used to teach different subjects. Has enough systems to support all the students in the class.

The alumni network was not so well when we joined the college. But over the years the network is growing stronger. The college developed a digital platform for the alumni to stay connected with the college.Talking about the senior, they give helpful advices for exams and job interviews.

I got my admission through my JEE Mains rank. The selection of the college took place through online counseling using my JEE Mains rank which was around 160k. Admission process in the college was smooth half day process, requiring to submit the documents of results and certificates related to board exams and JEE Mains.

The CSE department of our college had some of the best faculties who had great knowledge about their respective subjects and were always helpful to those students who needed help. If any student asks for help at any time, they never said they were busy and always helped the students.
