Placement scenario of the college is better than many other engineering colleges. Many top ranked companies visits the college for recruitment. Yes, the college provide internship opportunities for the college students and also send students to abroad for internships.

Cultural Fest, Technical Fest, Cosmopolitan, Hall Fest each semester, Sports events, Inter Nit sports activity, Inter Hall competition with all these events the college focuses on the all round development of the students since all the events are organised by the SAC (student activity center) and it is runned by the students of the college.

Feasible and Scholarships are available for financially bacward students and also there is tuition fee waiver for them. So the fees of the college is way below than many other engineering colleges and facility is also way above them.

There is a SBI bank within the college premises and that offers loan to the students in need. Well the students can avail loan from other institute because of the college reputation. And many scholarships and fee waiver is also provided to the students.

NIT Rourkela gives students ample opportunity for their all round development. The college is good with various extra curricular activities as many clubs are there for various fields, grounds for sports well equipped labs and they are well managed.

Well in terms of infrastructure the hostels are very spacious and well designed and all hostels have separate gyms, common room, mess, garden, badminton court basket ball court, canteen and stationary shop.

Yes, they provide assistance to the students and also there is student counselling programme which assist the students and each fresher is assisted with a mentor to guide him or her in the college when ever they are in trouble.

First of all one need to appear for JEE Mains exam and if he\she crack the exam then they have to fill the Jossa college preference which has 7 round of selection in which the selection is made on the basis of the ranks scored by the student in JEE Mains. Better ranked students are given priority in to take seat of their choice as per filled in their Jossa list.

The faculty of some of the branches (chemical, electrical, electronics, mechanical, civil) are highly experienced. And the college is also known for its research work and the many students have done their M.Tech and phd from this premium institute and the faculty is very supportive.
