Remarks
College being in the Chandigarh city provides immense number of opportunities to the students to grasp more and more but the bitter part of the college is accommodations and food. The hostels are not too good to live.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good. It covers all the subjects that a student needs to be a part of practical world. Talking about Exam structure there are mainly two exams each semester mid term and end term along with these there are several quizzes and assignments are given to check the performance of the student.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell in the college which boosts the innovation in the students by organising different events. As such there is no internship opportunity inside the college but it is compulsory to go for internship of 4-6 months in 6th sem of course.
College Events
Many events are being organised in the college by different clubs and societies annually as well as on monthly basis. PECFEST is the main event organised in the college. It is the annual techno-cultural fest of the college and one the biggest fest in North India.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It’s quite difficult to comment on the fee structure like for some it’s feasible while for others it’s expensive. Comparing to other private colleges the fees is almost same but facilities provided in turn are less. So in my opinion it is expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides different scholarships. These scholarships are given on basis of different categories. Sports, academic excellence, income based, JEE rank based. These things helps the students a lot.
Campus Life
There are number of clubs and societies whichever a student can join regarding his/her hobbies or interests. The sports facilities are also good, an annual sports meet is organised to boost up the enthusiasm of sports among students.
Hostel Facilities
Yeah I have opted for the hostel. But I guess PEC has the worst hostel infrastructure in the city. There is no maintenance, no hygiene and the food is not eatable. The basic hygiene that needs to be maintained is not done.
Alumni/Alumna
There is good interaction between juniors and seniors. Freshers get to know about the experiences of seniors and some secret stuff not shown by the college. But there is less interaction with alumni group it’s moreover restricted to their batch. But overall seniors are helpful in every means.
Admission
Admission in college is through JEE exam. The candidate has to give IIT-JEE mains exam then apply for different colleges with different branches. If the candidate clears the cutoff he/she gets the chance to persuade the course.
Faculty
The faculty of most of the subjects are good but there are some guest facilities with lesser experience that are unable to explain the concept properly to the students. But they are always ready to help the student and mentor them.
