L. D COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Overall college is excellent. Though it government college facilities are good. You have to work hard for your self. Never accept 100% from college one have to become 100% for college. I think future is bright in this college.

In my college there are two exam per semester, one internal and 2nd is external., also there is a submission. College is under Gujarat Technological University so Curriculum is as per GTU. Result is calculated on the basis of credit system. Every subject have different credit points.

In branches like computer, IT, Chem placements are more than 70% and in Elec, EC, Mech it is around 50-60%. College also provide internship in some branches. Over all in core branches placements opportunities are excellent.

There are many Clubs in campus and they organized different events through the year. Clubs are Robocon, Pracalp, Motocon, Dhanak, and some other.Also there are National Cadets Corps and National Service Scheme. They also organized different cultural, sports and technical events.

For boys 1500INR per year and for girls it is zero in government college. It is totally feasible. There is some nominal(700-800INR) Exam fess per semester for both boys and girls. It is the best thing in government college.

There is no direct scholarship from college. But there are many government scholarship from Gujarat government side. Like Mysy, Food Bill, AMBEDKAR SHAYAY YOJANA ETC. One can apply online for it and it is more beneficial for non local student.

Labs are good enough and sports is also good enough in campus. Practicals are completed by faculty most of time or every time and labs are descent for it so not to worry about it. Sports is also somewhat good in college.

College Hostel is good and rate is 6000 INR per year. But if you not in the merit of hostel than you have to find a private hostel or pg. It may be quite expensive.Food facilities are also good enough, there are four mess in college.

There is a alumni association and it is so beneficial for students. Senior are also good and helpful LD started in 1948, so it has very huge strength of alumni.

Through ACPC merit list (ACPC is committee for admission in graduation in Gujrat). Merit list is came out on the website and then you have to confirm by pay some amount of fees. For government college it was 1500 INR for private it is 10000 INR. LD is government college so i had paid 1500 INR. There are total 3 rounds for admission process, first 2 are online and 3rd is offline.

Faculty are very intellectual and helpful in knowledge point of view. But lecture are not so regular and syllabus not fully completed. This environment is common in all government college.But they always ready to solve doubt and problem also helpfull in project work.Overall they are good.
