Swami Vivekananda College for best knowledge, learning and experience

The college is totally ragging free campus and the infrastructure is also very well.and being a good college and positive response is that for academics and co curriculum activities the college can easily compit with the other colleges in the city. The faculties are very dedicated to every students.I only say that all departments are very well but my mechanical department is the best and I could gurentee anyone that they would feel good to be here.

I am a student of Mechanical Engineering, the sllybus is not very easy. The course curriculum is totally based in maths and physics. But in the 4 years the most important part I personally felt was the practicals. The practical knowledge is the most important thing a student should take care and the college is under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, therefore in every one year there are two semester. And in each semester there are four internals. And before each semester exam there will the practical exam taking place accordingly.

The placement are good. I am a 2nd Year student and i noticed that in the previous year there were more than 18 companies came for placement session and till now more than 56percent of the total strength is placed. Yes they provided internship. But unfortunately I couldn't get one. Getting the opportunity of internship totally depends on the candidate. But the college gives ample opportunities for internships and also they sent their students in the other colleges to take part.And in my opinion people who really work hard or are worth it they definately gets placed in reputed conpanies.

There are lots of events are take place in every year in our college. The most important are the department fest, technical fest and the cultural fest. Apart from the fest, the college organises sports every year. Apart from these co curriculum activities, there are seminars, workshop that take place throughout the year.

I personally feel that private college it is little costly in those days. It takes around 35-40 thousand per semester.But in case of my college They don't take any extra amount from the students and the particular amount which they take have the detailed division where it is required. The causion money they at the time of admission is returned back after the completion of course.

For TFW students, they take only 3 thosand amount in each semester. The college also allows the students to study with the help of students loan. I know number of scholarships are also available but they usually do not preview it before hand. They give information only to the specified candidate.And there is also swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship scheme available for brilliant students who got 75% marks.

For sports we have a common room with a carrom borad and a chess board and a common ground in the campus for badminton and volley cricket and football. The Labs are great , I feel labs are the most cherished and thing in the college where we able to get more knowlegde and experience.

I haven't opted for any hostel I go from my home daily basis.but the college hostel is available for both boys and girls.wifi facility is also avaiable in the hostels and there are abundant number of paying guest house are available also. And our college provide with all facilities. There are separate conference room. There is a emergency medical services provided.

I feel that our seniors are not behaves like seniors to us.They are more like brothers and sisters to us and very friendly. They help us in every possible way. They guide us, They shared notes with us. They are likely to be god gifted for us. So I feel very nice to have such seniors over my head.

I qualified the joint entrance exam and I got 22 thousand (22,275)rank in this WBJEE EXAM , then I seat for counselling of West Bengal Joint Entrance examination.and after the whole counselling process I was selected in this college For B.tech in Mechanical Engineering course.

The faculty of the college are the most beautiful persons. Atelast for my ME department I feel I have found the best. And faculties are like family members. They guided us in every possible way and showed us the right path. They are dedicated for everyone and most importantly they are ready to spare every previous moment for grooming a student.They even encourage us for our better future.
