It's simply the best engineering elite institutions

Everything is good here. On negative remark is that good packages and majority of companies visits here for placement are related to software and finance but for my Electrical Engineering branch or there branches like Civil, mechanical and metallurgy, there is no such courses here which would taught us to give exposure of finance and software sectors. So, we do coding by ourselves. Also , there is clubs which help us all lot to learn these stuffs apart from traditional learning.

I am currently in 3rd year in Electrical Engineering from IIT (BHU),Varanasi. So, my course revolves around electrical stuffs like Generator, Electrical Circuits, induction motor, Control System, Digital Electronics and so on. My 4 years of engineering is divided into 8 semesters, each semester covers 6 months. There are nearly 4-6 courses which I have to cover every semester.

Since I am from IIT, placements and internship opportunities are excellent here. Even, Google come here for internship and placement as well. Looking upon the number of companies visit my campus and the opportunities here, my overall experience of very good. I got internship in Samsung Delhi for 2 months and they will be paying 70 thousands for 2 months. Moreover, they will cover my accommodation for the span of my 2 months stay there for internship in next year.

Fee structure is expensive but affordable to some extent looking upon the quality of faculty and infrastructure here. Tution Fee is 1 lakh per semester along with additional hostel and mess charge of 19 thousand.

There are some scholarship schemes by our alumni for exceptionally performing and physically challenged students. Loan facility is available in my college and for IIT, government has introduced 0% loan facility which is excellent in order to cover Tution Fee here.

My college has 3 big playgrounds. We have badminton courts, table tennis courts, volleyball courts and basketball court as well. We also have hockey and cricket ground here. We have coaches for every sports. So, sports facilities are excellent. Labs are also good here. There are sufficient apparatus in order to conduct experiments. Overall, everything is perfect.

Hostel infrastructure is very good. Each room is shared by two people and room is spacious here. Mess and canteen facilities are available in the hostel. Also, quality of mess is is very my good. So, overall I would rate 8 out of 10.

My college is now 100 years old so we have very vast alumni networks from all over the world working in some elite companies with high rank post. One of our alumni is Nikesh Aurora who was working with Google, Tesla CTO, LinkedIn representative from India and many more. Seniors are also very polite and can be approched anytime. Sometimes, I feel that I learn much more from seniors than my departmental professors.

After completing my 12th. I appeared in JEE Main Exam. After getting a decent marks in this exam. I appeared for another Exam which was JEE Advanced. Both these exams are for getting admission in engineering colleges. Based on my marks and rank in JEE Advanced, I selected Electrical Engineering in IIT BHU. JEE Advanced exam is for the selection of students only for getting admission in IITs.

Facility of my college is pretty good. They are highly knowledgeable and many of them have industrial experiences as well. All professors have completed their PhD from reputed colleges from countries like USA, UK, Singapore, Canada, Germany and many more. They have very good interactive and teaching skills and I can approach any professor any time and they all are very polite.
