Placements

If you want to work in a good company then try to go for IIT and if can't crack IIT then atleast try to go for Nit. We all study for jobs and placements are not good in this college. But if you are genius you will surely get a good job.

In Mechanical branch, there are many Senior professors with PhD and much more qualifications , so good quality of teaching. In each semester you will have 6 subjects and passing percentage for each subject is 40. After second and third year, you will have to go through a 4/6 weeks training in core company and it is compulsory. In final year, major project is there and it is completed by a group of 4-5 students.

Let's first come to Internships. 4/6 weeks internship is mandatory after 2nd and 3rd year in every Branch and internship should be in core company. You have to get the internship on your own and college will not help you in this. Now its placement time. CS branch has got good no. Of companies but in mechanical only 1-2 companies come for hiring and that to select 3-4 students only.

College has annually Cultural and technical fests. Also college has many dance , singing , social awareness , dramatic groups which regularly go for competitions in other colleges. You can join any group and be a part of it. They have regular classes after college hours and will teach you the respective art of the group you join. Always join a group of your interest as its keeps the entertainment in life.

As this is a government college so fees is normally less than private college. At my time 2014-2018 fees for one year is around 45k only. Fees for hostel is 20-25k approx. And mess bill is around 1500-1700 rs per month.

Yes, the college provides many type of scholarship. If you have elder brother or sister in college you will get 10k scholarship per year. If you are among the top 10% students in class then you will get 1200rs as scholarship per semester. But you can only receive one scholarship at a time.

Mechanical branch has good number of labs and in each semester you will be having two labs for two subjects where you will be gaining practical and industrial knowledge. For mechanical students you will have a workshop which has many machines and advance machines also.

Your seniors will surely help you in your college life and even after your college life. A senior will teach you and will help you in clearing the tough exams. Not only this life would be easier if you have good connection with seniors. It will help you in placements and internships in good companies. Many of your seniors will clear Gate exams and Civil services exams and will be A grade officer and it will constantly inspire you to do more in a smart way.

I joined this college in 2014 on the basis of rank in Jee-Mains. Girls have special quota in this college.Moreover, each branch in B.tech holds 10% reservation for Murthal students. Rank should be less than 65k in jee mains to get admission in mechanical branch for general quota and for SC/ST students may get admission having even rank around 200k.

College has highly experienced and qualified professors. Some of them have done their post graduation out of India. But some of the professors are lazy and will not take much lectures and you will have to study yourself. Yes the best teacher in college life is youtube.
