My College Experience

I am a Delhite and my college is on outskirts of Delhi and also i being residing near du north campus used to think i will enjoy the same college life. but being into a professional (b.tech) course gave me a different view of college and its life. i came to know how to lead a professional ethic life, learnt some good meaningful things.college management is getting strict day by day for laws against students but the other tasks like things that need to be get done from peon are not getting done. ac's dont work even after complaints. in total the college needs a great improvement else it will keep running the business with no fruits.

ON SINCERE BASIS I WOULD LIKE TO TELL THAT AFTER ME 12TH I HAD NO PLANS FOR PURSUING STUDIES IN SCIENCE BACK GROUND I WAS READY BBA AND I APPEARED IN ITS EXAMINATION FOR IP UNIVERSITY BUT THEN AFTER I GOT MY RESULT I FOUND MY MARKS WERE WORTH FOR B.TECH AND ON CONSULTING BY MY MENTORS I OPTED SRM.

it is not that good because since i have other friends as well so i didn't found my curriculum to be much effective. Infact other universities provide more of the practical experience than a theoretical one which is more in demand by companies. but here we are focused on theory and assignments which everyone copies from google and hence we find no learning.

yes the college is renowned brand name into universities of india so companies are coming to the college for placements. But ultimately everything depends upon what you know practically more than theoretically. many of our seniors got good placements as well. also the chennai branch of our college has been awarded for highest placements in a day. i am not much known with the packages and all because i was not concerned with it as i want the practical knowledge and then i will think of a good job.

for the first time we had a fest in our college i.e. in may 2017 with so many requests. only sports events take place here nothing else and that is the most hurting part as i have always found so many events happening in other universities. but in the case of our university nothing takes place.

fee structure is worth it if they provide all the facilities someday they dont have working ac's someday they dont have working internet, someday non working pc's. Infact the fees is not even for all it varies alot. i think they should first create their infrastructure with all the facilities that they mention in brochure at time of admission and then demand the fees. i pay 50000rs for bus fees , 175000 for tuition fees with development charges. but in last 2 years only a few students were taken on industrial visits not all, which was most disappointing. in 3rd year we had our first visit.

ya scholarship scheme is there but have run behind the administration staff for getting it. infact one of my friend did even got what he was told that we will be given. they are not loyal sometimes with it. loans are provided but since i got it sanctioned from outside so i am not much known with policy they are proividing. there is a bank in our college by the name of city union bank i guess they provide it.

campus life is null. we have a big campus with nothing it. it seems more of school than a college. student cannot play they are allowed for it only in break timings. there is small canteen with so much of sufocation and 0% hygienic food and 0% quality only south indian food is food because the college and the caters both are having south india background. no debates no competitions. infact the haryana crowd makes college atmosphere more weird. prejudice type students come to college.

i am not a hostler but yes my friends are, what they used to tell is that when they took admission they were told that hostel will be made ready to shift into within a year but since than its the 3rd year and yet the hostel is not ready to move into. and infact the in campus hostel is getting ready only for ac's room hostlers. for the temporary basis boys are living from college side into max heights and girls into parker residency. these places have a great travelling from our college place. the quality of food is just for the sake of having food they eat it else it has no taste infact one day i went to mess with my friend and i found a raw roti being served and then i scolded the mess person.

no alumni yet happened so can't comment upon it. but hope to have good alumni soon. maybe when we will pass out we will be invited and then we can comment on it.

exam structure is fine. this is the only fine thing in college but ya in this also they have obligation that you cannot go to washroom you cannot demand extra sheets. labs are not much efficient. infact this year we have new batches for ibm special courses but students are charged earlier only but not provided with the subject details even bcse ibm labs are not ready.

I WENT TO THE EDUCATION FAIR WHERE I HEARD FOUND SRM AND THERE I FILLED THE FORM AND THEN I GOT THE CALL FOR ADMISSION THEN I WENT TO VISIT THEIR CAMPUS ACTUALLY I HAD OPTIONS FOR TWO CAMPUS ONE IN MODINAGAR AND OTHER IN SONIPET THENI OPTED FOR SONIPET AS IT WAS EASY COMPUTE FOR ON DAILY BASIS.
