Positive - Huge focus on placements. Very good infrastructure and internal structure of college. Approachable higher administration. Various on campus facilities available like free hospital, gym etc. Negative - Too much crowd.

Course curriculum is very up to date. It covers all the latest technologies and trends as well the basics and core of the computer science. Exam structure is little bit hectic. There are 3 cycle tests or CTs (like unit tests). One surprise test and one assignment. Then final semester exams. Every CT has different weightage of marks and surprise test and assignments also carry weightage.

Placements and job opportunities are in plenty. If you take admission in SRM and manage to not take any backlog in any subject then 100% you will be placed. SRM included soft skills and aptitude training in the curriculum only so that at time of placements you don't need to worry. It also conducts pre-placements trainings. Internship fair is conducted every year with plenty of opportunities. Stipend lies from 5k per month to 60k per month.

Every major national event be it 15th August or 26th January or Diwali or Eid or Pongal etc. is celebrated in the college. College has two major fests of its own which are very glamorous too. They are AARUSH which is technical fest and MILAN which is Cultural fest.

I give 2.15 lpa but recently it was increased. If you get admission via the rankings then the fees is feasible. Their are option to pay fees in various installments you like. But each installment could not be less then 50k. The top 10 students and backward students both socially and financially get fees rebate.

College provide scholarship at the time of admission and at the during the end of each year. At the time of admission if you have ranking in top 100 of SRMJEE or board merits or in 2000 rank in SRMJEE with 95+ percentage in boards then you get scholarship. If you get this scholarship then you have to maintain steady 9+ CGPA to obtain full scholarship each year. Other way to get scholarship is by getting in top 10 students of each department. Department releases form to apply for scholarship based on your scores, financial or social condition each year.

Sports grounds are not that much in college. That's one of the faults in the college there are only 3 play grounds are available that too are mainly occupied by college teams for practice. Labs and other extracurricular activities are in plethora and better then almost any college in India.

Right now hostel charges are around 1.1lpa fir non AC and twice of that fir AC 3 sharing rooms. The hostel infrastructure is fantastic. There are working lifts , warden for each floor and teacher mentor each for one in three floors. Generally one hostel building is of 9 floors. There are 8-9 such buildings with premise separate fir boys and girls. Hostel cleaniness is very good. Daily once or twice cleaning is done. Hostel has cctv in all the common places.

Alumni and senior students are not that connected directly due to such vast amount of students. But if you become member of various clubs both technical and cultural in SRM then there is huge network available of alumni and seniors.

I applied to the SRMJEE exam via the SRM website. After filling the form with required information submitted it. Exam date and venue was updated soon. After 1 or 2 months the result was announced with the rank. Based on the rank counselling slots were alloted. I came there submitted my documents with the fees and enrolled in the college. After 2 months the college asked to go the branch we chosed in the councelling and submit the documents.

Faculty is average. Because of the large amount of students in the college, faculties are also in vast numbers. This decreases the average quality of the faculties. But there are many very good faculties too. You can choose your own teacher in SRM. So if you want you can choose the best faculties.
