In all, if one is planning of applying in St. Aloysius, there is no reason to be held back. The staff as well as the students are friendly and welcoming and the college environment is such, that one may never feel out of place.
Course Curriculum Overview
It may not be 'the' best place to do your gradauation, but it surely is among the best places to. It is well reputed and the faculty is quite highly qualified. The courses are semester wise. Each semester has 2 internals and 1 end semester exam. The internals are out of 50 marks for 90 minutes and the end semester exam is of 100 marks for 3 hours.
Placement Experience
The placements are good but the students need to attain an average of 60% in each semester to apply for the campus recruitement. The packages vary from company to company. There is no such internship provided by the college. But the college is very supportive and flexible with the attendence criteria for those willing to do an intership.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are quite resonable as compared to other colleges in India. The payments made are affordable and one can agree if it said that Aloysius provides the best education for the most reasonable fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Aloysius also provides many scholarship programs for the backward and the under privileged classes. Scholarships are also provided to those who excel in studies. One of the main aid given is the mid day meal where a lunch is provided to those students who opt for it for a very nominal price.
Campus Life
The college makes it a point to make sure that the students are into extracurricular and cocurricular activities by making it compulsory to enroll oneself in atleast ome of the many assciations of the college. The sportsman spirit of the students is also kept up by conducting sports day every year.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has many notable alumni. Very often, the college invites it alumni to the college to have interactive sessions with the present students. These sessions help students stay motivated and also provide the students with the best peices of advice.
Admission
I was an NRI. So i applied for admission online. They had informed me that i will be receiving an email or a text massage to come for the interview. I got a call almost to weeks later. I booked a flight to mangalore and went at the specified time. My interview was with the vice principal.
Faculty
The teacher faculty as well as the non teaching staff are very approachable and friendly. The lecturers are highly qualified and are noticeably well trained in teaching. Extra efforts are also taken by the teachers by conducting extra classes for thise students who require more attention.
