Remarks
More of a syllabus oriented institution. There are several communities for overall development but since they are not compulsory there is less turnout of students. The college however is very active and diverse due to the strength of students and multiple opportunities for everyone.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since it is an autonomous college, therefore the syllabus is a bit diluted as compared to the VTU(state university) syllabus. Exam structure is a bit hectic for some batches as the college changes it oftentimes.
Placement Experience
Placement statistics are very good as compared to other private colleges. Many companies (technical and non-technical) visit the campus all year round. They also provide internships in the respective domains.
College Events
There are many fests and summits held in the campus in a year. Every department has its own inter college or intra college fests. Different clubs and communities also organise their inter college events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible as compared to other private engineering colleges in India and the facilities and quality of education provided by the institution. It can be a bit expensive for the students coming from different parts of the country and students whose families are not financially stable.
Fees and Financial Aid
State sponsored scholarships are provided to the eligible students, tuition fees waiver for the eligible students. Education loan is easily available from many government and private banks. There's also a branch of Vijaya Bank in the campus which provides easy loans.
Campus Life
Many extracurricular clubs and communities are active in the college, labs are oftentimes confined to the syllabus but sometimes interested students can do wonders in their field. Sports and gyming facilities are also provided by the college.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are very helpful and the alumni network is strong as well. There is no fresher's party or official introduction of the freshers so most of the time there is a lack of communication but the moment they start approaching seniors they are very well guided.
Admission
The admission process for the aspirants outside the state of Karnataka is through entrance exam of COMEDK. Students appear in the exam online through their nearest examination center and are selected for the colleges based on their rankings. This is followed by a counselling session where the seats are alloted rankwise.
Faculty
Most of the faculty is below average as they're low on teaching standards. The faculty is however atleast post graduated and have good experience still they lack on the skill - how to teach. But there's always multiple faculties for a single subject so a student has an option for his doubts.
