Remarks
Only the placements are drawbacks, and infrastrictures are to be developed well. Staff should be recruited well regularly. More of the laboratory facilities are to be provided for more practical learning.
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus prescribed for Geology subject in the College is sufficient but i wish they could have upgraded it to the current things. Exams are conducted well and executed. Semester system avails easy carriage of sullabus.
Placement Experience
Placements and jobs are not refered by the University for this course, there are very less campus interviews here. And there is no opportunities for intership at this point, but may be in future they may further provide these in future.
College Events
Geologist day, freshers parties, farewells, and all govt celebrations are done well. Youth fests, cultural events, sports events are also conducted time to time regularly. These are also conducted within the University and also inter collegeate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is not so expensive for the science streams unless you are a student who didnt study your undergraduate in a college which falls under University. Then you have to pay a lot more than the normal fees. Your seat falls under outside University quota and you are liable for extra fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Many govt. Scholarships are given to eligible students regularly. Many encouraging scholarships are also provided by the University at the time of convocation for the good scorers. And there are no loan facilities within the University as per now.
Campus Life
Sports are conducted regularly within the departments and also outside University, inter college sports. Many other sports events are also conducted by the local organisations within college. The Physical education department takes good care of everything regularly.
Alumni/Alumna
They are somewhat helpful in a way where we can connect with the staff and friends. Staff helps use pursue good career in future. Their help is quiet necessary. Hence the alumni association helps a lot.
Admission
Had an entrance examination after Graduation of 50 questions for 100 marks, then there'll be merit list with half of the graduation marks and half from the entramce examination, and further counseling.
Faculty
Staff is well and sufficient for the syllabus prescribed by the University for the course. To cope with the syllabus load Teaching assistants are employed. Work load is been distributed accordingly. Staff is good at conveying the syllabus.
