Remarks
If I talk about positive thoughts of college then first thought must be of infrastructure because you can't get better infrastructure then our college in whole Gujarat, Pdpu's infrastructure is just superior. But if I talk about academic, it is the something in which our college lacks, our college really needs some experienced faculties.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am doing BTech in civil engineering and in B.tech, every branches are having same courses for 1st and 2nd semester. After 1st and 2nd semester, every branches starts learning about their own branch. We are having mostly same Course curriculum as IITs. And we are having 2 exams in 1 semester. 1st exam is taken in the mid time of semester which is evaluated for 25% and 2nd exam is conducted at last which is evaluated for 50% and other 25% are reserved for Viva and all.
Placement Experience
I am in 2nd year so I haven't done my technical internship till this perticular time but i have done my internship from NGOs and my college required to NGOs to provide internship and if i talk about placement, as much as i have heard from seniors, i can say more than 50% are placed easily with average package of 6 lpa.
College Events
Tesseract - this event is conducted by School of Technology, in which all students are from B.tech and M.tech except petroleum branch. Flare Pdpu - this event is celebrated by School of Liberal Studies, in which all students are from B.com, BBA and all commerce related branch. SPE fest - this event is conducted by petroleum branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
For top 7 students in the class can avail 50% relief from tution fees but I am taking scholarship which is offered by Gujarat Government and that scholarship is called MYSY. Although I am eligible for both scholarship, but one avail only one the scholarships.
Campus Life
For other activities like sports and all, our College is superior as compared to other colleges which are the main competitor of our college like Nirma institute and all. Labs are also extremely good but there is lack of proper maintenance.
Hostel Facilities
No, I am living in PG, and rent of PG is ?1500 per month and reason behind not opting for hostel is because of high fees which is ?85,000 per year and obviously for ?85,000, they have to provide good infrastructure.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are really helpful, they conduct many workshops for no cost. They teach us how maintain proper balance between learning and enjoyment from they experience and personally, I haven't met any alumni but I have attended some alumni lectures which is organised by college.
Admission
I got my admission through ACPC board merit list and that merit list was created with the consideration of Gujarat board exam and GUJSET. Gujarat board marks was for 60% and GUJSET was for 40%. So by that 2 consideration merit list was created.
Faculty
Some faculties are great but some faculties are just worst. Mostly that faculties whom have studied from IITs and NITs or from Indian top institute. They are extremely good, I mean they know how to teach but faculties from non-popular colleges do not have that much knowledge.
