College memories

College days were best days of my life. I had some best teachers and some teachers are not worth remembering. Because of some bad past experiences. Since my father and the Principal knew each other well i had a bond with Principal Sir. Overall great college

In my college years the exam pattern was different. We had ISA's , ISA 1 and ISA 2 of 10 marks each in months June and August then 1st quarter exam in December and again ISA 1 and ISA 2 in January and February and final end exam in April.

Actually there were placements and job opportunities. There were companies who kept on coming for 5 days in need of young talented freshers. Since i wanted to do post graduation and had no idea of doing a job after my bachelor's degree I missed the chance if getting a placement.

There are many inter college events used to happen. For eg National Eco buzz, commerce fiesta. Since i was a member of eco buzz i used to participate in any competition and encourage students from my class as well to participate. And the best event of our college was the commerce fiesta there used to be many competitions held i used to participate in almost all competition for eg. Photography, drama, fashion show, singing, quiz (my favorite).

No the fee structure was very much feasible. Since my college was a Government college Bcom students had to pay only Rs.4000-6000 and below in each passing year. BA students had to pay much less, BCA students had to pay Rs.50000 and MBA students paid Rs.60000.

Since I had scored 86% in my 12th grade i had got scholarship from navy because my father was in navy i had got scholarship from government of Rs10000 till my first year of college. I had availed this money in the end of my 1st year.

We had NSS activity programme in our college and I was part of NSS. We used to do a lot of activities of cleaning and awareness programmes, rallies and public speaking. We used to usually have our NSS activity after college hours in the afternoon. It used to be fun with my mates and teachers. And had a satisfaction of doing something good for the society in our small little way

I had my college in a distance of 500 meters i think i was the luckiest to have a home so near to college. My friends had to travel such long distance from their place to college and vice versa. So i didnt have to stay in hostel.

Since i changed my college for post graduation i had lost contacts with my seniors and teachers. Though i talk to some over WhatsApp sometimes. We dont meet but its more like an informal conversation or meet.

I was asked to submit my school documents which included my mark sheets of 10th and 12th as well. And other documents tranfer certificate, migration certificate, character certificate. So I submitted all the attested copies. Finally I got admission on merit basis.

The teachers were great in my college time. Some faculty members were behind me for no reason though im sure that was because they wanted the best out of me. My English teacher Ms. Susan Deborah was the one who used to encourage me to participate in inter collegeate and intra collegeate events.
