Remarks
Good campus but bad coding culture. Emphasing more on attendance rather than supporting extra curricular activities that helps students excel. Recently, they asked additional fees from some students without actually stating the proper reason and threatened to not allow to sit for the exams if the fees is not paid within 2 weeks. This was due to misunderstanding between college and mahadbt fee reimbursement.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college is not autonomous, hemce the course curriculum is of Mumbai University which is seriously outdated. There are 8 semesters in span of 4 years (6 semesters for direct second year students) where there are 2 internal exams and one semester exams in each sem.
Placement Experience
Companies that visit college for oncampus placements are tier 3. No, the college doesn't provide internship. They provide "internship certificates" in the name of completing a 15 day or 1 month program which is basically a mini bootcamp.
College Events
The college conducts various tech, cultural, sports activities and events. The festival of college is VERVE which happens in February every year. Apart from it, college organizes mini workshops and events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very expensive compared to what they're delivering. They have good campus not good "engineering" culture. But they're people like me who learn tech skills from online resources. Recently, they hiked up the college fees for students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is given by government. Depending on the caste and category students are reimburse financial support for their education. The scholarship activities happen on mahadbt portal which is government's website.
Campus Life
Apart from coding, the organization and management is good. They're trying to improve the coding culture but not looking and executing it in the right direction. Labs, sports facilities are good and well maintained.
Alumni/Alumna
Due to poor guidance, seniors itself fail to guide the Juniors and the cycle continues. But there are few students who help and actually support their Juniors regarding mentorship, doubts etc. The alumni network is there just for the sake of it and isn't much helpful.
Admission
I got admitted to Direct Second Year Computer Engineering course through my diploma course percentage through Mumbai University admission portal. Depending on the merit, a merit list is released. There are 3 merit lists in which students have a chance (if allotted) to either freeze, float or apply for better college. The intake when I got admitted was around 84 for the Computer Engineering course.
Faculty
The college faculty is okay but they fail to deliver industrial mentorship and guidance. They're limited to "college curriculum" only. They mainly stress on attendance rather than supporting extra curricular activities.
