Nice faculties but lack of placements

Positive remarks of our are fee structure and the experienced faculties. Negative remarks are lack of placements and internships , lack of lab improvement and seminars. These are the remarks for my college .

I am currently studying in computer science and engineering department and the course is pretty good it covers the total base of the computer science still some improvement required as it is lack of new subject like python ,ml , web development etc. Our college is under Makaut and there are 8 semester exams in whole 4 year degree course which are taken by Makaut and 2 semesters covers one year. Each semester exam is followed by internals which are taken by the college.

Our college is lack of placements & jobs. Students have to go for off campusing as college does not provide any campus drive for the students. Our college has placement cell but it is not organised . Our college doesn't provide any internship for students . Students have to find internship by their own .

The events celebrated in our college are : 1. Saraswati Puja 2. Freshers 3. Alfresco (Techno-Cultural Fest) 4. Reunion These are the events which are celebrated throughout the year by gcettbians. These events are followed by many programs.

As our college is a government college the fee is very low. It's totally affordable for the students from middle class family. There are many scholarship opportunities in our college students may apply for fee waiver .

Our college has no loan facility but there are many scholarships for poor students. As our college fee is very low students don't need any loan or scholarship as it's affordable for them. There are many scholarships offered by west bengal government for college students.

Our college has less extra curricular activities than other private colleges. But still there are annual sports programs ,seminars etc . This section of our college is required improvement. College authority should take initiatives for more seminars .

Hostel infrastructure is very good. But number of students living in hostel is less comparetively with number of students living in home and pg(paying guest).Hostel has football ground , basketball court, batminton court , common room , washing machine , library , gym etc

Our alumni network is very strong . We organise Reunion every year to gather all alumnis all over the world and share their experiences with the juniors. They are very helpful and friendly. Many seniors take workshops for the betterment of the juniors.

I got admission through WBJEE state joint entrance exam .I got 10998 rank in all over the state . I entered my name in e-councelling where i had to make a list of colleges with streams which i want to get selected according to my preference. There are 3 rounds of councelling . I got my college and stream in 3rd round .

Our faculties are kind and well experienced. Students can get any study related help from our faculties as they are available all time. They give us good guidence about our future . They take alternative classes to cover our syllabus.
