Review of IIT kharagpur

Well every college has some positive negative remarks . But here positive remarks are many as everyone knows the perks of being a IITian but their are some negative remarks because competition is high here and sometimes students not able to handle pressure and they go in depression and sometimes suicide

Course curriculum is little outdated with some really difficult subject which I think not everyone needs to know about those and exam structure is same as it used to be in school if you study good you will get decent cg

being a a a IIT placement is of course better than other college but also it's not that much better as it is hype in outer world that everyone life is set in IIT .the placement percentage is about 70% and average package is between 10 to 15 lacs per annum

Their are many events and fests. The main fests are kshtij and spring fest where kshtij is techno management fest and SF is social cultural fest . Apart from these many department have their own fest like mining mechanical ocean engineering etc

Being a government college you would expect the fees to be low but that's not the case here . The fees is almost same for most of private college the tuition fees only is 2 lacs per annum and hostel mess charges and other charges adds up to around 70 thousand per annum

There are a lot of scholarship and loan facility available based on your category family annual income and cg. The main loan facility is Saraswati Vidya schem yojana where you can get loan and interest will be paid by the college till you are in college .

Extra curricular activities are in abundance here . Their are many socities and almost every sports facility is available and they are quite good . Their is a interested hall championship called general championship where every hall participate in various sports social cultural and technology events

Hostel are called halls here and their are 20+ halls total with a decent infrastructure and very fascinating structure but it's good . Facilities are also good except mess food which I think is a problem in every college

Alumini network is best of this college in India . Some of the famous alumni are Sundar pichai , arvind kejriwal , vinod Gupta and their are any more like them . It is the oldestt IIT so alumni network is very good and they are helpful too

First I cleared jee mains and so I was qualified to give jee andavanced and then got good rank in jee advanced and then applied for the counselling and I filled my choices and according to my rank I got this college

Faculty is one of the best here in this college . All the professor are very qualified and they are involved in allot of research and they are also invited in conferences held in other India and other countries
