Remarks
Based upon the above review, the pros are: 1. Very good and supportive faculty 2. Above average placement. 3. Very good food in terms of hygiene and quality. The cons are: 1. Average infrastructure. 2. Not much opportunity in terms of extracurricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is being refined almost every year and new schemes and subjects are bein introduced and old subject are being removed. The exam structure is different for us than the previous batch students. While they had 3 internals out of which the average of best 2 exams was taken, we have to write all 3 exams as all of their average is taken for us. There are also 2 internal lab exams and an external lab as well as theory exam.
Placement Experience
The placement is also another area in which this college is slightly better than a number of other colleges. The average placement in 4lakhs per annum. There are also internship exams provided by the college which is good aince many students can get internships through the college itself. Also, since I'm currently in 3rd year, I don't have any internship and stipend experience.
College Events
There are a number of fests celebrated by the different departments of the college in both odd and even semesters. Some are great, some are not. But the main fests are Pantheon, which is an inter college fest and Parichay which is an intra college fest. Both these fests are pretty good and a decent crowd and participation is seen.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible here. However, taking admission through the comedk quota or management quota would naturally mean having to pay a greater fee than getting admitted through kcet quota.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee here is quite feasible if you take admission through kcet. But when going through other quotas, the college provides certain scholarships for students belong to sc/st categories as well as for children of defence personnel.
Campus Life
There are extra curricular activities that are arranged by the college and university. There are different sports competitions that happen at the university level. The college has a basketball team and a football team. The college supports sports activities. There are also seminars and talks that are conducted at the college in regular intervals .
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of the college is not much heard of. But there have been few alumni that came to our college to give some talks. All in all, the alumni network is nor that good and neither that helpful. The senior students on the other hand are very helpful to juniors and there is a healthy relationship between the seniors and the juniors.
Admission
I had written the COMEDK exam that is an entrance exam for a number of colleges in Karnataka. I had got a rank of around 10k and got Information science branch in this college in the third round of counselling. The counselling was conducted online and hence there was not much difficulty in getting the college.
Faculty
The faculty is the best part of this college. They are supportive to you in every way possible. They have very vast knowledge in their fields and they try to make you understand every topic. They also provide notes for each subject which is good since many students from other colleges also collect the notes from our college.
