Remarks
Many students need extra time for preparing for competitive exams. You will get ample time here if you choose the correct specialization. But if you want to pursue your mtech seriously then you have to choose a good guide who has lots of network so that he can publish your work easily.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exam syllabus is gate syllabus with difficulty level easy to moderate. My specialization is system engineering. It has same syllabus of control system in IIT BHU. In other colleges it has syllabus related to computer science.
Placement Experience
Very few Core companies visits us. But there are lots of IT companies including Google, Microsoft and many other top notch companies. As an mtech student there will be opportunities for placement but you must have programming at your fingertips.
College Events
There are many events. I cannot list all of them but here are few 1. Kashi Utkarsh 2. Fmz weekend 3. Spardha. It is India's biggest sports event where teams from colleges all over India compete in various sports 4. Kashiyatra
Fee Structure And Facilities
IIT BHU has minimum fee among all IITs and you can easily afford with the stipend you get. It is around 28k per semester. And 40k in the first semester. There is no need to worry about the fees in mtech. But new fee structure will be implemented in next year's.
Fees and Financial Aid
All mtech students get stipend of 12400 for doing teaching assistantship. Other than that there are no sclorarship for mtech students. In teaching assistantship you have to do some work on your second year of mtech like taking labs and checking copies etc of btech students.
Campus Life
There are many sports available in our campus. There are tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, badminton courts, cricket ground, football ground, a boxing club. There is also a small gym for IIT BHU students
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors and alumni are really helpful. You can contact them if you need any help. They will share about their placement experience which will be really helpful when you will appear. And also you take help for your mtech projects.
Admission
Had to appear in gate exam. Secure a good rank in it. Then applied for mtech in my college. They called for written exam. Some specialization have interview also. Some of them just document verification. I qualified the exam and got admission
Faculty
Faculty is fair enough. I won't say it's the best. There are many colleges out there with much better faculty. Few faculties are very strict and few of them are friendly. If you want to pursue your mtech seriously then you must choose your faculty carefully. If you do there will beany opportunities.
