Remarks

Overall it's a very fun and adventurous life here at NITK. you will get to experience many new things, new friends whom you won't want to loose. There is beach also, which is also a place to get peace. There are many places to visit also nearby like coorg, saklespur, sanctuary, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum in NITK is above average, as it is a government college, update in syllabus is a bit slow. But the main reason why this college is famous is because of its infrastructure and mostly the environment it provides. it gives a surrounding of intelligent and self motivated students.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement and job opportunities here are very high. It's very less likely that you will end having no job if you wanted to join any company. There is internship also, almost all visiting companies come for both placement and internship of 6 & 2 months. Yes there is stipend also for some master's courses like M.tech, Phd etc. There are various scholarships also.

College Events

4.5

There are many events celebrated here. Events celebrated by college itself:- Holi - it's a grand celebration here by college. Ganesh chaturthi - it is also celebrated by college. ganesha idol is established, sweets are distributed . Diwali - it is most interesting fest celebrated here, crackers, food, DJ. Fest held by college student annualy

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure here is very feasible. you can get both loan and scholarships. Many students get scholarships based on religion or state whom they belongs to. if you don't get any scholarship, there is loan facility available for everyone.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility Everyone who got admission here can get loan. there is a branch of SBI in campus which provides loan to every student. students can get loan from outside also. Scholarship scholarships are provided to some students based on their caste. eg. SC/ST student don't have to pay tuition fees they only pay for hostel fees.

Campus Life

4

there are many sports events organised by college for those who are interested in sports. Freshers cup - it consists of many game including(cricket, football, carrom volley ball etc. )which is mainly for freshers. Mr fresher and Mrs fresher is also chosen from it, and trophy for winner and runner up for every game.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes i have opted for Hostel. i will not say that it is the best hostel. but certainly it's not bad. they give high speed Lan cable and wi-fi also. speed of wifi is not so fast, but lan is quite fast, for food there are many mess, some are good some are not. it depends on you which mess you get. the hostel life here is so fun.

Alumni/Alumna

alumni network and senior students is by far good here. you will get guidance from seniors anytime you need. seniors also organise classes for juniors in topics related to placements and internships. they also share their experience about it. Alumni also help, they help during placements. they also contribute for donation in fests.

Admission

I got admission in NITK by national level entrance exam named NIMCET, which is an exam conducted by any nit for admission in all nits who have mca as their course. it is conducted on last week of may every year generally.

Faculty

4

some faculties are very good, they will inspire you in every walk of life. they will force you to take risks, study new current trending topics, make a project on those topics and give you all the help required anytime. They will guide you always. But some faculties are just average, they only cares for 75% attendance.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are average. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 2nd semester. Some companies visit the college and offer jobs in different roles. The average package is around 3-4 LPA and the highest package depends on the company. After completing my degree, I plan to get a good job and gain experience in my field

Placements are good...lot of my friends got placed. But it even depends on individual intrests. At starting you get paid less but later on experience u can earn more. In case if placement doesn't happen you will still have the chance to explore outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MCA course curriculum is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. It covers core computer science subjects such as programming, data structures, databases, software engineering, and practical lab work, which influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a strong foundation for both real-world applications and further academic pursuits. With the support of good and experienced faculty, concepts are explained clearly through theory, practical sessions, assignments, and projects. Exams are conducted on a semester basis with internal assessments and end-semester examinations. The frequency and timing of exams are appropriate, and the difficulty level is moderate. Students who attend classes regularly and follow faculty guidance can perform well.
