Remarks

The college is good but in some areas they need to become better. The first thing is regarding placements. The placement cell should have to arrange more on-campus drives so that many students get selected in the interviews.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course which I took was ECE and for that the curriculum was good. The core ECE subjects were taught there and also there were some extra subjects. The exam pattern was written and internals. There were lab exams also and in the last semester the viva exam was based on the whole 4 years of syllabus.

Placement Experience

3

The placements were overall good. But it can be better. The placement cell only focused on the pooled campus drives but few on-campus drives were also organised but the companies that came were not up to the mark. Our college does not provide any kind of internship nor they provide any kind of stipend.

College Events

4

There were many events celebrated in our college. Rudra was the sports fest. It was the inter college sports fest. Vivarta was the tech fest of our college. Many students and teams from different colleges came to participate in vivarta. It is a 3 day event. And the cultural fest called sahotsava is a grand success for us. Many renowned artists and musical bands have performed in our fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was a bit expensive which is common for all the private colleges . It was definitely not feasible for some students. Fortunately I managed to survive 4 years. Many took loans to study.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some scholarship facilities but I am not aware of them. These are specially for those who are not financially very strong and need some kind of support so that they can proceed with their studies.

Campus Life

4.5

All the subject labs were there. The lab faculties were good and friendly. There was a ground where the students can play games during their spare time. The quality of the labs are quite good. The inter department sports fest was also organised.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not yet very strong. The university is relatively new and so there have been no plans of reunion of any kind. But the senior students were very helpful. The bond was great between the seniors and juniors.

Admission

I got admission after giving the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam. After WBJEE results were out I had to go for the counselling where I had to select the colleges and the courses which I want to opt for my graduation. After 2nd round I got TIU and after that I got admitted there.

Faculty

4

Like in every college all the faculties cannot be good. The faculty in TIU was also mixed. Though most of them were very good some of the faculties were not up to my expectations. Most of the faculties helped all the students and talked with us freely.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
