Remarks
Overall the college is good it provides hostel facility for almost everyone. the faculty is very helpful and are cooperative. The placements are decent. The scenic beauty around the college is quite good you can see tea garden from hostel itself you can take an evening walk in the gardenand also if you are lucky you can see the kanchenjunga peak from the college
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is not best not but not the worst either. The course has the required thing in it but needs to include the new improvements and subjects such as AI,python etc and should also eliminate the subjects such as EVS, physics chemistry which are already studied by a student in their schools
Placement Experience
The placement of non core is good enough as per normal standard but the core dept suffers a lot due to the current market condition. Among the core dept the condition of electrical dept is good. If you opt for a non core branch you will get a job aafter 4 years
College Events
There are many events to go on throughout the year. it's always good to be a part of those events. there are mainly to fests when is Sristi the technical fest the other is Jeclat cultural fest. Apart from these there are some other faces drama fest, literature fest etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
As it is a Government College so Fee is very much affordable by anyone and there are lots of opportunities of scholarships. The tuition fees is approx 80000 for 4 years. If you opt for hostel then you have to pee around 1 lakh for 4 years
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no loans offered by your college but there are plenty of opportunities for scholarships. depending on various conditions your board your annual income you will get scholarships. many of my friends are not from a well off family but they get scholarship that are enough for giving the tuition fees and also the hostel fees.
Campus Life
extra curricular activities include the school some things like the seminar sports labs all are good. you will be attending many seminars that will enrich you with a lot of knowledge. This year Ted X organized an event in our college. next year there will be an international conference in our college itself
Hostel Facilities
the hostels are quite good the bathrooms are clean and you will not regret it. They are at least better than the normal standards of a government college hostels.As jalpaiguri is a remove city so the attachment and bond between the hostellers is quite good. They become your family
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni association is really good it helps a lot in the placements. They organize many things in our college. the aluminium association is very helpful too many social works and also there a great help to the college and the students
Admission
I appeared for WBJEE that is the Joint Entrance Exam of West Bengal. In that you have to score a rank as per the stream you want to opt. Then you have to sit for the counseling conducted by WBJEEB and get you desired stream
Faculty
The faculty is good they are very cooperative and have great knowledge you just need to have that urge to know. The teachers are happy to help you out in case you have any doubt which is not the case in many colleges
