Nothing special. College was good overall but didn't meet the standards expected or the commitments given from the College itself. If you are good enough, you'll get the support and will build a good career.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is given by the University which is West Bengal University of Technology. It consists of 8 semesters in 4 years. The GPA is calculated including all the 8 semesters.
Placement Experience
The placements are like moderate. Around 40% get a placement in MNCs. There are opportunities as well for core departments but the Package is not satisfactory for the core placements. For MNCs, it's up to industry standards. Our college doesn't provide Internship.
College Events
We have Tech Fest that occurs every year. Students of 3rd year takes the responsibility. Also, we have Cultural Fests that happen once in two years, final year students being responsible for this.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is like 4 Lacs in 4 years. The structure is predefined. Students from low income families can get special discounts which falls under Tuition Fee Weavering scheme set by the West Bengal Government.
Fees and Financial Aid
I haven't availed any scholarship/loan facilities. But there are loan facilities which was taken by some of my friends.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are not that good since the college campus is very small. It doesn't have adequate place to host them. However, there are sports events that occurs every year in Salt lake. The labs are good.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are good and so is the alumni network. Every year they arrange a quiz competition known as Arcania during the Tech Fest time.
Admission
I got admission in this college through West Bengal Joint Entrance Rank in 2011. Then a counseling took place and then I got the admission.
Faculty
The college faculties are good and very helpful. They always suggested to attend the classes and told the opportunities we could get and showed the path. However, few of them were not satisfactory amongst the students.
