Remarks
The college has one of best academically strong students. It has one of vast alumni network, extra curricular activities, fests and one of best placement and quality teaching. I cannot think of any negative remarks.
Course Curriculum Overview
I got admission in Computer science and Engineering branch in my college. The curriculum is well enough so that you can cover all fundamentals of CSE. Also you can master in one or more fields of CSE. Apart from CSE there are also management , humanities, and other branch courses so that we get diverse knowledge.
Placement Experience
The placements of IIT BHU is one of best in country. During placements there are lots of multinational and national companies visit. In fact there are numerous high paying startups also visit. The average CTC for CSE comes 4th best among all colleges of country.
College Events
Apart from academics in the year there are multiple fests happen in IIT BHU. The fest based on sports is Spardha which happens in September. There is technical festival named Technex which happens in January. And there is a cultural fest Kashiyatra which happens in February. In all these fests participant come from so many college spread over country.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is standard planned by Ministry of Human Resources India. So central government decides fee of college and it is affordable by middle class . Student whose parents have salary less than 6 lakh get scholarship and they can afford it too.
Fees and Financial Aid
For economically weak background strong there are several scholarship available. There are few scholarship based on merit too. If anyone wants student loan then there is special branch IT BHU SBI from which students get education loan.
Campus Life
There are so many learning sessions , workshops held by seniors to keep the innovation in juniors. There are also labs for all fields which are open to all and we can go anytime we want. The campus area is so big ( It comes 2nd in terms of area after IIT Kharagpur in all IITs), so it has 4-5 grounds for sports only which has all modern tools sports facility.
Alumni/Alumna
IIT BHU started initially as an engineering college with BHU in 1919. So it has completed it's 100 years in 2019. Which obviously tells that why it has most vast alumni network. The Tesla CFO is IIT BHU alumni. Nikesh arora , Manoj Sinha are also some of famous and big names of iit bhu alumni network.
Admission
I qualified JEE Mains 2015 and after that I got chance to appear in IIT JEE Advanced 2015. I got AIR 474 and according to my preference list I got admission in IIT BHU. I got computer science branch through JOSAA counseling in IIT BHU.
Faculty
The faculty for teaching and also assistant were well qualified to so that they maintain high standards of students. The professors provide high quality projects which enriches the field knowledge (ML, Computer vision etc) of students.
