NIIT UNIVERSITY - an untapped potential

The thing is hate hate this university the not making the alumi network strong. The name of the is build becuase of its alumni which I think is the main point this university is missing. The thing I like here is the amount of greenery maintained here in the campus.

As this is a relatively new University, the course curriculum is still evolving every year. They have specialisation in all the courses. The University makes sure they take feedback of every student regarding the faculty and course so that they can amend the course curriculum and be up to date with the industry standards

Yes, there is a compulsory industry practice in the 8th semester. Companies come for IP during the 7th semester. All the companies are good. I, myself have grabbed an internship in IBM. From coding round to the interview process, everything is done in a systematic manner.

Cultural fest - ingenuity Like all the cultural fests this has all kind of attractions and events. Dance, music , drama, fashions show and what not. Participants and people who attend the fest are given allocation at feasible rates. Stalls from various fast food joints are setup Tech fest - sinusiod Very new concept in the University which will be having its 3rd iteration next month. Coding challenges, hackathon, etc are the events listed.

The fees structure here is a little expensive. Scholarships makes it easier for students to afford it. It is Rs. 2,94,000 + 1,55,000 annually, without any scholarship. It's is Rs. 1,55,000 with 100% scholarship

Scholarship is offered here on University fees i.e without hostel and mess fees. Following are annual University fees. 100% scholarship - Rs. 0 75% scholarship - Rs. 39,000 50% scholarship - Rs. 78,000 25% scholarship- Rs. 1,17,000 0% scholarship - Rs. 1,56,000

Labs here are good but small in size. Although small they have ample space and equipments to fit the needs of the amount of students studying here. They are kept in good conditions. But the computers labs here lack powerful systems for AI purposes.

It is a completely residential College. No student is allowed to stay outside the University. Rs. 1,55,000 is the hostel fees for triple seater room, which is annual. For double occupancy Rs. 28,100 additional fees is applicable and for single occupancy Rs. 48,200 is applicable.

Alumni network here is on sub par level. Little to none communication is done here with alumni. Seniors are helpful if you contact them. They will guide you through most of the problems if they can without any hesitation.

First you have to apply on the admission portal. A representative from the college will contact you. Then a date will be set for interview and test. People with certain marks in JEE and class 12th are eligible for test and interview. This criteria of marks changes every year according to the cut off. A professor from the University will take the interview. If you get selected in the interview and test you'll be informed.

The faculty here is mediocre to good. Not all the teachers are good. Some are. Some not. Most of them are PhDs which makes them extremely knowledgeable about their field. All of them are really helpful.
