I scored 79% in Higher Secondary Examination (Maharashtra Board) and opted for this college because of its posh location and the overall grade of the college being 'A'.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum up until now has been stress free. There are seven subjects in each of the six semesters,semesters spread out evenly in 3 years as per the requirements of Mumbai University (with the exception of six subjects in Second year).
College Events
There is an annual college function 'Aakarshan' celebrated every year in the college. A number of events are held out over the course of the event such as Drama,Dance, Singing etc. Apart from that there are visits from celebrities to promote their movie (Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in 2012,Alia Bhatt in 2015). There is active attendance of the students and parents of home college as well as students of other colleges to see the event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees for Bachelor's of Commerce course is very affordable Rs 6000 max. A detailed receipt is provided about the fees on time of admission. Bachelors of Commerce being an non-professional course is very cheap as compared to other professional courses such as Bachelor's of Banking and Commerce,Bachelor's of Marketing and Management etc.
Campus Life
The campus life is very active and happening. You will always observe students hanging out at the campus after lecture hours. There is WiFI connection at one part of the campus. There are tons of extracurricular activities for students to take part in. As far as I have observed,females take part in more activities than males.
Hostel Facilities
There is an open canteen at the campus. Students can feast on affordable meals while hanging out with their friends on campus. The meal prices do not cross Rs 130 per meal and can be as low as Rs 25 per meal. Meal items include all general dishes consumed
Alumni/Alumna
Alumnus help the current students in providing the books required for course of the current students. The senior students help their juniors in exam tricks,doubt solving etc.
Exam Structure
There are two exams per semester one unit test for 20marks and one final semester examination for 75 marks the balance 5 marks are for attendance class performance as per the requirements of Mumbai University.
Faculty
The faculty is very helpful. The teachers make the course matter even simpler for the students. The suggest the books to be referred and practice to be done. There are no homework or assignment expectations. The teachers are student-friendly and very help
