Remarks

Positives:: 1) attendance is not what matters much here. It is chill 2) good library 3) A separate building just for playing badminton Negatives:: 1) no wifi 2) no senior junior interaction 3) no proper ground

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

CSE stands for Computer science and engineering. In this, various things can be done like web development, app development, competitive programming. I was given this seat on the basis of my rank. I was given a rank in jee mains, which is a 3 hour paper, containing 30 questions per subject. There are 3 subjects in the paper and each question carries 4 marks. Each incorrect answer deducts 1 mark as well. I scored 218/360 this year

Placement Experience

2

I am a first-year student. So I am not the correct person to say about the placement opportunities. But from what we know, since our college is in Delhi, some big firms do come to our college. Samsung R&D, Amazon have been to our college in the past. This year they didn't came. Although some of our students selected in Microsoft and Amazon like companies off campus. 13 students were selected in the Google's Gsoc this year as well. Other than this, there's no internship opportunity provided by the college. One has to apply off campus most of the times

College Events

3

Some low grade events are organised in our college. This is something which hurts the most. Our college is not in favour of organising events. So it never supports us. Even if students are organizing everything then also, college asks for money from students to run the auditorium. Other colleges fund the cultural societies. This college suck their blood.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to other engineering colleges of India, fee is less. But the level of facilities provided by them are not even worth paying the fees they are taking. They used to take 120000 per annum till last year. This year they increased fee by 20000 per year. Other than this, the hostel is way too expensive. It costs around 2 lakhs per annum for a single room. For a double sharing room, it costs 170000

Fees and Financial Aid

2-3 students who score decent marks are given scholarships. tuition fee is waived off upto some amount for these students. This is done very quietly and not disclosed much until you yourself enquire. This is done so that less students apply for the scholarship and less waiver is to be given. About the loan, college doesn't provide it. It is the bank who does. There is a website made by GoI where each bank has given the details of loan

Campus Life

2

Labs are good. They are equipped with AC and are generally clean. Internet works smooth in computer labs. Chemicals are provided in chemistry labs. Instrument works properly in other labs. Extracurricular activities keep on running through the year. Students prepare themselves for competitions which are held in other colleges. They sing, dance, capture photos. There is one badminton club which is just awesome and that is the only good sport related thing in our college. For other sports, neither there is a good ground nor the equipments

Alumni/Alumna

There is literally no junior senior interaction in any college of IPU. Since there's a very bad hostel culture in IPU as most students come from homes directly, juniors hardly interact with seniors. Seniors come to us only for societies promotion and that's all. There was one alumni meet scheduled for 2-3 weeks back but due to the demise of MATES chairman, it was postponed

Admission

I gave Jee Mains 2019 and secured a rank. Then I filled the ipu form for b-tech and after counselling processes, I was allowed this second best college of IPU, i.e. MAIT, which is the short form of MAHARAJA AGRASEN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
