Overall the student culture in this college is the basic foundation over which this college is going firmly . All the cultural activities and the preparation that goes into them outshines all academics of college by a large gap .
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is highly overdue to change , we have been studied books teaching us stuff which is nearly extinct in practical world , also our curriculum doesn’t expect any certain modifications from us . The exam structure comprises of a mid semester exam followed by End semester.
Placement Experience
Yes, my college provide internship opportunities, as and when internship semester approaches but most of the companies these days require coding as a basic requirement, due to which certain students don’t get placed . But looking at record in circuital branches the percentage is normally 80%
College Events
The biggest event in my college is PECFEST , usually is organised in late October or Early November over a span of 3 days , it is a cultural plus technical fest , also headed by a Bollywood singer as lead star on night .
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Structure is expensive without any doubt ,considering Punjab engineering College to be a governmental instituition and comparing it with Punjab University Chandigarh there is a difference of miles between these two. Also taking into account the facilities provided by PU >= PEC , PEC is way on expensive side.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college has an Economical Weaker Section Scholarship given to students based on the income of the family , also our college give a great compensation to SC/ST categories students . Though you have to submit adequate paperwork to get these scholarship.
Campus Life
Without any doubt the cultural activities of Punjab Engineering College are second to none at least in India , with all the passion shown by students and members of clubs, some of members even practice on holidays. Coming to sports , some of sports have a partial advantage over other in terms of funds and the amount of permissions required to conduct any event.
Alumni/Alumna
Yep , they are really helpful in all manner possible , you can easily approach a senior regarding any query you have , also the alumni network help us to get better internship or placements . You can easily approach them through LinkedIn, insta or the most they prefer .
Admission
I got admission Based on my JEE MAIN RANK . There is allotment of seats based on ranks , after that you have to report in college on registration date. Where they will check your documents and verify them.
