It has a long way to go and a lot of things can be improved. The gateway family is trying its best to empower its students.

Our college is affiliated to DeenBandhu Chottu Ram University of science and technology. Our course curriculum was changed when we took admission and is called scheme C. Due to this we don't have previous year's question papers to refer to. Exam Structure- Our exams are curriculum-based and it's rare it'll be out of syllabus. We are supposed to cram a lot for our exams. The evaluation process is based on how much we have written than the quality of our answers. This type of exam pattern doesn't include thought provocation and practical knowledge, as a result, it doesn't encourage us to research further for our syllabus.

As far as I am concerned the placement department of our college is lethargic and doesn't pay much attention to the growing needs of the industries. We did have some summer internships which wasn't considered by many students as it wasn't related to things taught to us or basic level.

The events celebrated in our college are Teachers' day, college fest named Corona, Freshers' party, Farewell party and sports tournaments which include basketball, football, cricket, volleyball, and badminton. On fest, we have a star night where celebrities singers are invited.

The fee structure of our college is reasonable and there are scholarships based on the 12th-grade results. Girl child can opt for more discount under Haryana's government scheme for "beti bachao beti padao abhiyan". Fee structure includes tuition fees, infrastructure fees, and freshers' party fees. The bus fee and the hostel fee is not included in it.

I got a small percentage of my fees discounted under the Haryana government scheme for "beti bacho beti padao abhiyan".

Campus life is not great as we don't have an updated computer and science labs. Infrastructure can be improved such as the playgrounds and sports equipment. The gender ratio is fair around the college but uneven in the engineering department. As of diversity, most of the students are locals.

We didn't communicate with our seniors on a regular basis and I am not connected to any alumni or passed out seniors.

The admission process was quite simple. I filled a form on the official website of Gateway Institute of Engineering and technology which can be found by typing the later on google. I chose this college because it was near the house and my parents wouldn't have considered a lot of travel.

Most of our faculty are just bachelor of technology. Only a few have a masters or PhD And most of our faculty doesn't have industrial or practical knowledge or awareness. In my opinion, engineers should teach aspiring engineers. Most of the faculty relies on teaching through their notes which are bookish, which we could have studied ourselves.
