NIIT University a University in the Aravalis

Our college is a gem hidden in the Aravalis. One should definitely think about joining it, it has the perfect balance of academics and extra curricular activities. I myself was the university captain and learnt a lot about leadership.

The course curriculum is very detailed and focuses on practical aspects as well as the theoretical aspects. We had three exams mid sem 1, mid sem 2 and comprehensives. With 20, 20, 40% weightage, the rest of the 20% was for projects.

Placements and jon opportunities are plenty many big firms like PwC, ey, KPMG, ibm, fireye, directi, microsoft come every year for placements. Our college also mandated a 6 months internship as our last semester. I luckily got placed at PwC and experienced a lot because of our excellent center for industry collaboration.

All holidays of India were celebrated with a lot of flair and enthusiasm. Our dean of students affairs was a retired major general in the army, he made sure every event was a new learning experience. We also had a technical and cultural fest. I was the part of the core team of the cultural fest.

Feasible fee structure if you maintain your scholarship, various scholarships slabs available for various levels of marks obtained. All you need to do to maintain scholarship is keep getting a 7.5 gpa consistently.

Scholarship was offered to all students on the basis of their 10th and 12 th marks. I was offered an A grade 50% scholarship on the overall fees throughout the 4 years. If you score more than 9.5 in your first year you can upgrade your scholarship one slab.

Labs were well made and well equipped, we had a basketball court, tennis court, football field, volleyball court, TT tables, pool table and badminton courts. We also regularly had various sports and athletic competitions

Hostel was well made, we had proper beds an almirah a table 2 book shelfs and a dustbin. All of our rooms had windows and were well ventilated. We also had an earth air tunnelling cooling system for environmental friendly cooling.

The seniors were always helpful and understanding, the alumni network is in development but will soon be a booming network to help students with professional advice and jobs. Our university is taking a lot of efforts.

I got to know about this college through my friend and then I applied to the college and then after my profile was reviewed I was called for a PCI in person interview after 1 week of application. There I was asked various technical as well as behavioural questions. Overall the process of admission was a comprehensive process of evaluating the candidate not only on technical aspects but also the co curricular aspects of his/her life.

The faculty of our college were all distinguished professor from various NIT's and IIT's across the country. Most of them were pursuing their PHD's here. They were all very friendly and exceptionally talented people.
