Remarks
The only negative remark i have is that the girls have a curfew at 9 and boys simply don't. Otherwise all the positive comments you want to see, I've given it in all the previous questions that I have answered.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exam is usually conducted for 50 marks and the end of the semester. We have a continuous curriculum and thus our marks not only depend on our end semester but also the CTs and assignments we write all through the Semester.
Placement Experience
My college has a very good placement cell. spends go as high as 3L for two months for internships. Average coding job offers 17 LPA for a student. Many students all over colleges of Tamil Nadu come here to do their internships under various of our professors during the summer and winter semester holidays.
College Events
Or college is filed with fests all through the year. The ones to watch out for are Festember and Pragyan the two of our biggest fests. Others include sportsfete, NITTFEST, and all the department symposiums.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It costs around 2.5 L per annum including hostel and food. From my point of view they do justice to the money they collect from me. I don't mind paying them that much. But it being expensive or not permit depends on the student's family income which i wont be able to answer.
Fees and Financial Aid
Or college has a lot of external scholarships. All the scholarships that the central government releases automatically qualifies for our college. Other private scholarships include Cargill scholarship, Jiteshraj scholarship etc.
Campus Life
NITT gives the best support when it comes to extra curriculars. They in fact encourage all the students to take part in atleast one activity other than their acads. We have more than 5 state of the art labs for every department.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostel does have all the facilities that a student needs basically. Moreover the day scholar population in our college is very less since our college is situated outside the city. You can watch out for club activities group studies and sports practices as late as 1 in the night in our hostel. And boys don't have curfew too.
Alumni/Alumna
We have a RECAL(REC Alumni) office in our campus. (Our college was previously known as REC). We have an amazing network of alumni who help us in a lot of works including placements, institute funding, fest funding, fest sponsorship etc.
Admission
Our admission process was majorly conducted online by JoSAA. Since it comes under the national institute of technology scheme, it gives students their preference based on their respective Jee Mains mark. After each and every round if one has a change in course, they have to report to the campus to do all the legal procedures. After the completion of the last round of online allotments everyone is supposed to come to campus to choose their hostels and mess distributed based on forst come first serve basis.
Faculty
My college is the 10th best engineering College in India, according to MHRD rankings. So there isn't much to explain about the faculties. They are really knowledgeable and very sound in their respective fields. They are really friendly and approachable for any kind of doubts.
