There are number reputed companies that visit the university like Maruti Suzuki, LG, Mahindra, L&T, ICICI, vivo etc. The pay packages offered by some the companies is very high as compared to the last year. The skill set of the students is growing and is being upgraded by making us participate in the workshop and online courses from the top universities of India. This makes the students very competitive in the job market. The highest salary offered at JKLU is 15 lakhs and the average salary package is 5 lakhs. There are times when you tend to get pessimistic due to the hectic placement drive but that’s when the career service center comes to our rescue. They conduct one on one sessions with us and motivate us to keep applying in different companies of our interest and not loose interest in the placement process. The staff is very approachable and friendly.

right now annual sports festival is going in the college. we celebrate lot events at JKLU which range from sports, dance, street play, theatre, singing, etc. there are number of clubs which support these extra-curricular activities of ours. we also get funding from the admin to execute these functions. the events are generally drive by students on campus.

the fee submitted by me was around 3lakhs for the tuitions. I deposited around a lakh for the hostel. They take the fee in all forms, the accounts department even accepts cash. The admin even helped in opening the account with the bank which is on campus.

University offers unique and very helpful services by YourDost on campus. There a counselor who visits the university every Thursday from 3-6pm. This is the time when most us are free and do not have any classes. We can book 45 mins to 30mins sessions online with the counselor free of cost. These sessions help us to share the problems that we have been facing in our personal life which can range from relationships, career, family problems or anything which we do want to disclose to anyone but a professional who bail us out of the situation without judging.

There is curfew timing for the both the girls and the boys. The girls and boys have to be inside the university by 10pm and student is allowed to loiter outside the university premises beyond the mentioned time. This is to maintain the safety of the students and make sure we are safe and sound. After that we have attendance roll call daily taken by the wardens to ensure that all the students are inside the university gates. If we want to go to the city to do anything/whatever be the purpose, then we have to get an out pass from the warden. The hostel rules are hassle free and can be complied to easily. Both the male and female wardens are super friendly, and we can share our personal stories with them without loss of confidentiality.

yes, the alumni network is very helpful. they help you to figure out jobs, internships and whatnot. there are of opportunities to learn from seniors.

I applied for admission online and paid the registration fee immediately. I came to JKLU to give a written entrance exam, followed by two rounds of interview. The admission process is swift and one does not have to wait for a long time to know whether they are selected or not.

The faculty are one the most important and the strongest pillar of a reputed institution which caters to students studying to be the future ready beings rather than just the job ready beings. We the students are just made to focus on availing a good settled for themselves, the motive is narrow, and the students do now grow and evolve. The faculty at JKLU motivates the students to get out this narrow mindset of just focusing on the job and try to outgrow as an individual and enhance the skill set that we possess. This makes the student life very interesting and involving at JKLU since most the students are bent on learning something or the other which they haven’t come across and pursue other interests of their own. Lately, I have been learning python; though it not majorly required in college education but still the faculty have been very supportive of my idea of learning a new language which is very much in demand nowadays.
